Hey guys, just had a quick question. I have a Saitex X-52 Joystick/Throttle and i was wondering if there is some way to hook that up to my Xbox 360 to use for the game? I have it hooked in now but it is not showing up and not working. although, the lights are on. If you could help itd be great.
Thanks

Nope.
The 360 only works with officially licensed controllers, and requires a security chip indicating that license be present.

How can it be bypassed? I have a Saitek Cyborg USB Gold and wouldn't mind not buying a totally new joystick just for xbox.
Yes but you need a controller that you wont mind destroying basicaly transplant the chip

That isn't really overriding.
Yeah, you can basically hack a licensed controller to make use of it in any number of other kinds of controllers.
I have built a couple arcade sticks that way. You aren't really moving the security chip to make another controller compatible. You would be replacing the controller board of one controller with that of another.
It isn't at all what I figured the OP was looking for though.

Someone needs to make a video on youtube showing how to get the Saitek X52 to work on the 360.
I wish I could use mine on the 360. Guess I'll have to build a good enough PC so I can play IL-2 with that X52 until someone figures out how to mod it for the 360.

It isn't such a mod that I would think anyone would ever actually do to an x52. It would ruin it.
You basically have to take out the internals of the X52, and replace them with an Xbox 360 controller. After which the LCD would be useless, as would have the buttons and dials. It is basically something you only do to a controller that you no longer have a need for its original function.
A console flight sim, as great as it may be, is not a very good reason to ruin a great PC flight stick. :)
[EDIT]
Also should mention that the controller board you would need to replace the X52 with would have to be from a 360 flight stick, because the 360 will recognize it as whatever controller the board came from. If it is a regular controller, your game controls would reflect that, and those controls are definitely NOT flight stick friendly.
