Got a little a question: Is the Flak real or is it here just to give a "realistic look" ?
I ask this because I flew a lot's the Ardenne map and I never been hit at anytime by the flak !
In IL46 I was just so exiting to make a strike because I know that I had 50% chance to make me destroy at the first or second pass. It was so real that you was saying THANK YOU MY GOD when you reach the clouds !!! :)
And everybody know that German Flak was one of the most accurate during WWII, So that's why my question.. I really think the Flak is not enough accurate even in Sim mod of course.
Maybe I am just a lucky guy ;)

Anton said Flak plays a huge roll in Campaign and it does destroy your plane.

I've actually never taken a direct hit from Flak (ie plan falls right out the sky), but I have been partially hit by flak. tore a bunch of holes into my fuselage, and I think might have messed up my controls, because I had ALOT of shaking in the controls afterwards, but I got the job done :D

Flak has never even scratched me in the demo.

I've been taken down by flak once already in simulator mode.
I heard a wierd noise after I passed over the AAA and then my engine just cut off and I went into an uncontrollable spin and crashed.:(

That must have looked awsome from inside the cockpit.

I wish that would happen to me.

Yep. Playing with the damage model is pretty fun when your bored.
Try flying above the water in England and strike the water with your props and then go to cockpit view. It's basically the same experience...besides the violent spin that follows.:-P

Have you guys ever flown behind a plane thats has leaking oil, it goes all over your caopy and you cant see... it fun. I honestly thought it was blood at first and someone was shooting me, then i was like, "Wait, its bla...BOOM" too low.

I had that happen to me while over Dover. I was shooting at a Heinkel, and suddenly my entire windshield was covered in oil. I tried maneuvering so it would clear off, but I couldn't see and didn't realize I was following the Heinkel towards the ground, and that I was still collecting oil. Luckily I pulled up in time, and buzzed a farmhouse :P

It was a delight. Wish I had caught it on to show everyone. Maybe I'll try again?
