Okay im a total noob but i work DUMB HARD. so i need a basic lay down on the simulator controls aka the trim button.

How does work? Like do i hold the button for it to trim the plane or tap it?

ALSO!!! I know what it does in fsx (trim the plane so it can stay at a level altitude and keep it from turning off course if ur folowing a gps line) but this is 1939-1945. WWII. So what would it do for a propeller plane when the propeller keeps making my palne turn to the right?

Please explain that. Oh yeah and VICTORY CALL! This comes out close to my b-day so ima gettin it along with a CAPE!

thank u to all who help me or atleast cared tO look at this thread. u'll be shootin me down like 3,000,000,000 times/second in the real game. OR WILL U?

Trim is trim - it doesn't mean anything different based on the period the aircraft was built or the propulsion system.

The way the trim button works in this game is that you need to go ahead and put pressure on the sticks in order to make your plane fly relatively level. Once you have achieved this (doesn't need to be exact at this point), simply keep the sticks held in place and press the Trim button. It will automatically set the positions your elevators/ailerons/rudder were at when you pressed it. So now, when the sticks are centered, the plane flies like you had it held when the trim button was pressed. Simply repeat this process as needed and soon you'll be flying level and aiming much more easily.

Do note, however, that most WW2 planes didn't have aileron trim, only elevator and rudder trim. So, do not be surprised if you will keep turning to the left or right.
