I got to thinking about what Anton has done/is doing for us here. So, I sent an e-mail to the editor in chief of Game Informer magazine, telling him that someone should really give this guy some credit. Anyway, I thought we all might be able to return the kindness he has shown us. If you agree, let the community know.

No doubt, Anton this is a game I've been waiting for for SO long. After Ace Combat failed me with their newest one, and HAWX wasn't that great. This is something I've been looking for.

I have been on game forums for quite awhile. And never in my experiances have i seen a more professional , yet open developer communicating with the fans.

I have seen communities treated like garbage ( take a look at the gearbox forums , the codemasters forums )

And there is literally no connection between the company and the community. This may be because the guys they hire to run the forums are not on a speaking level , or its because they generally dont care.

But none the less , anton has done an amazing job and so has the team.

I might be sending the developers a suprise in the mail for their efforts

More the team, than me, actually :)
What I did, was only talking. And who cares about open to community developer, if the game isn't good enough? So it's mostly team who deserves congraturaltions.

I am, actually, even not part of the team. And, that's why I am, obviously, the less occupied guy :). Just kidding, of course.

The reason, why it's me here (not our PR managers), is because we had (and still have) to be very cautios with what could be told and what couldn't - there are certain limitations in agreement with publisher, their PR policy, etc.
And the relationship and link with community is essential for new flight sim game at all, especially in consoles.

cheers anton, there have been some quite strong views about certain things on here lately and yet you have still been happy to wear it in the name of keeping all these rabid, chomping-at-the-bit, il2 fans informed as to how things are going.

the demo has been a great showcase for the game and i cant wait to get the full game in my 360.

thanx

You are welcome :)
Actually, you just don't imagine what talking on Russian forum is :)
Everyone here is polite, positive, constructive and easy to deal with.
Even now, most of Russian players explains on forum, why this demo doesn't even deserved to be downloaded and how stupid are developers to expect players to download something like it:)

There is a joke:
If you ask something in US forum, they'll explain you how to deal with your problem, you'll get a detailed answer.
If you ask somehing on Israel forum, they'll ask you, why are you interested in it.
If you ask somehing in Russian forum, they'll explain you, how stupid you are, and what you'd better do instead of it.

So, it's actually a lot of pleasure to talk with English-speaking community :)

That's pretty crazy; to hear you explain the differences in the forums. I'm glad to hear that we are less of a pain to deal with.

hahahah classic.

Hey Anton, you even get to deal with some Canucks on these forums - we are annoyingly polite. :)

Though it is said: Canadians are polite, Americans are friendly.

A Canadian may think you're a pain in the ass but will help you on your way and make fun of you later. ;)

Thanks for all your efforts Anton, and cheers to BoP & Gaijin's success, seriously!

Rittmeister86 "Good Thread"

Thank You Anton and Team for bringing IL-2 Birds Of Prey to consoles.
It is a beatifull game, "Well Done". Man it is so much better playing on 40'' screen, And the sim mod do's not feel no different to me than IL-2 1946 on the p.c. flying full switch. Its better. Thanks Again

Yeah, thank you Anton and team for making a (so far) great game and supporting the forum.

I cant belive how good the graphics are! That mission with the P-51 over the snowy terrain is breathtaking to behold
Best looking game on the 360? I think so

I'll second that, I love that area.
Really pleased with this game. I've a long way to go to pull of simulation well, but I don't care! Enjoyable challenge. Arcade is what most games would consider sim. LOL
