Most people would say Arcade or something like that because they have a map and hud to work with, but I plan on having just my controls and the basics of what a fighter pilot would really have.

What about you?

I'd highly doubt that to be the case on these boards.

Well good. I'm glad to hear people on here are looking for a challenge while playing.

Ok, I'm going to add this as a question as well.

Question: What point of view will you use? Third person or First person, inside the cockpit?

Cockpit +1 for me :D

I'm going to start off flying the Single Player planes in Free Flight to get a good feel for the controls and then I'm gonna go full simulator(cockpit) from there!:)

Then hopefully afterwards we will meet up in the skies in multiplayer afterwards!

simulation, or realistic online, have to feel the controls, but ill radder crash 10 time in sim, then fly with a pinky and 9 fingers in my nose

Probably realistic offline, because I like to be able to use the outside view to look round and enjoy the beautiful plane models, but simulator online.

Oh Sim without a doubt! but i will go in free flight first to get a grip on the controls, i will occasionally go realistic to as previously stated, enjoy the plane models and my surroundings.

Most of my work is done in cockpit

I don't know, because I'm an absolutely rookie. I think at the beginning, I will play some hours in the arcade mode to learn the controls, then I go into the realistic mode, and a month later, I hope, in the simulation mode. I hope, I get on it with my just ordered T.Flightstick X Hotas for the PS3.

It's gotta be sim, althogh I suspect the first few hours will be pretty painful. However, I'm a trophy fiend from way back, so will play other difficulties to get 'em ;).
