I was expecting the DS version to be awful, pretty much a top down arcade 1942 style game, I have to say even this looks fantastic, I'm wondering if there is a cockpit view available, even so it looks a tempting purchase for the wife's DS!

No. Possible to crash only (if your plane impact of ground/buildings/forest and other).

Thanks, thought as much. Hope it sells well on the DS, from what I've seen so far it deserves to.
