A question about IL-2 Bop and 1946.

This came up in conversation a while ago so I thought I'd inquire about it here.
Would it be possible to release a upgrade pack/DLC/re-release for 1946 incorperating the engine updates? I would pay money for this and I'm sure others would too.
I like the updated graphics of Bop quite allot but the thought of a simulator on my console without my HOTAS/trackir is a big turn off.

IL-2 1946 and IL-2 BOP uses different gaming engines and different developers. Although the BOP developers did borrow the FM code from the IL-2 1946 developers. No one is now working on the IL-2 1946 engine. They have moved on to develop a new SOW (Storm of War) series engine.

Thanks, I figured there'd be some kind of barrier stopping it. Guess it's back to waiting for SOW.
