Am I messing something up?

I just beat the turtle and I can go to the island of freedom. Im level 6 and everything on the island is either "slightly stronger", "stronger" or "impossible" while everything else in the first 4 starting zones that I have not killed are equal or stronger.


Is that how its supposed to be? When I fight these guys Im losing a tone of guys. Im a mage and Im casting my fireball first round, picking off everything I can with my bowman, mages, and the basic monk unit that can bless and heal.

Its on normal at the moment.

I enjoy the gameplay but Im just having a hard time getting around every where.

Any tips?

Yes, go back to darion and fight (do more quests) there til you're lvl 10 or so.

One major tip is to sneak around Freedom Islands in a boat. the pirates won't attack until you click them, so go and pick up everything that is reachable by boat.
