Almost all of the King's Bounty fans were incredibly disappointed by Warriors of the North and this DLC seems like an extension of the disappointment.
Please change your path when it comes to this franchise. You had something special going on with King's Bounty with unlimited potential, but you are losing it slowly by taking the game in the wrong direction. I feel like it is lazy and an attempt at filling your pockets while doing as little as possible.
The strength of Crossworlds is the random factor. Both the two small campaigns can be played over and over again because of the random factor. You never know which creatures you will be able to get, or which artifacts you will be able to buy. It is a new challenge every time you play them. They could of course be even better if the enemies were random as well, instead of presets. This should be what you should focus on for a future King's Bounty game.
The main campaign in crossworlds is a reskin of Armored princess pretty much. What I like about it despite it being a reskin, is the random factor. Like the two mini campaigns, it could be more random, but it is so much better than warriors of the north. People are not playing King's bounty because it is an adventure. I truly believe the story matters very little. What matters a lot is the gameplay.
IMPORTANT:
Imagine a new King's Bounty where there were maybe 10 locations. And the order you would arrive at those 10 locations would be completely random from each play you went through. It depended on the map you got, or something along the lines of that. Imagine if you made up some brand new races that are not reskins of other races. Imagine if you made up some new regions that stood out to the old ones. Something creative. While 80% of the game should be random (placement of artifacts, creatures in enemy armies, creatures you can hire) you should have 20% that are not. Those 20% should be used for stuff similar to the magical tower in crossworlds. That tower was one of the best ideas yet. Luck needs to be involved in a game like this. You might be lucky and find some good artifacts that help you through the game. Stuff like this is a big part of the fun! This is the road to saving the franchise. I truly believe that King's Bounty could be better than ever if you just took it in the right direction. You could even add a whole new skill tree
I know I am a nobody, but I hope you will take in what I have said regardless, because I love King's Bounty and I believe it can get back on track.
My biggest fear is that this franchise will die because sales will drop out of disappointment :-(. There is so much potential.
