Hi all, could someone kindly provide me with or point me in the right direction, for information about the Luftwaffe squadron, which actually took part in the Battle of Britain. I am looking for details of which units/squadrons flew from which French airfields during the battle.

Thank you very much in advance ;)

Long live Cliffs of Dover, it justs grows from strength to strength, Amazing!!!

5./JG27.Farber, thank you very much for the information. Always seems to be plenty of info about the RAF Squadrons and Stations during the Battle of Britain, but very little about the same kind of information for the Luftwaffe.

Information greatfully received.

I found quite the opposite actually, the RAF ones even when from the actual RAF tend to contradict each other, try looking up the same RAF squadron from several sources and you will see what I mean.

Thor - nice spread sheet

Doolittleraider's LEMB link is golden. Very good knowledge there, as for wiki you should double check allot of it.

Also this might be interesting:

But remember this is EVERY AAA site for WW2. There would be much less in 1940 and they would probably not be at full strength.

Now, if only some one had one fr the LW...

Thor - nice spread sheet

It's about as accurate as I could make it (cross-checking six or seven books, various internet sources etc). Sometimes there is just no accurate information available (i.e. the date of a transfer or the date when the unit was told to rest). For gameplay purposes it should do, though.

On the a2a forums is a man called stickman. He is world expert on aaa sites in uk in 1940. He has it all.

Farber is correct with the RAF, there's a lot of crossover with sources however if you look hard enough there are monthly/weekly orders of battle which show who is on station where. Unfortunately these papers are photos buried deep in the 200 page "100 Octane" fuel argument thread so you'll have to find them!
