The Box That sold units

I have a box which sold all units- except neutral troops- Now I didn't buy troops from other places. I couldn't remember where or whom I took it . It is very useful . But in forum I saw no information or no thread about it. İs it some of the the randomly item?

You get it from the Tavern in Arlania near the coast opposite the Griffin Island, but only if you are wearing the "Old Boots"

Are there are similar gotcha (i.e, wearing certain items in certain places trigger unexpected good (or bad) ness ?

Also, is there a reliable way to get the Old Boots? I probably destroyed them or fed them to a Valkyrie the first time but when I start a new game I want to keep an eye out.

There is a good chance of getting them in the tutorial dungeon... But you can find them later as well...

(Box is called the Mysterious Parcel btw...)

They are also called 'Old Shoes' in the description. Don't get caught out by this.

If you lost the boots and the helm and you are not afraid to "import" the items...

Btw, i found at least 3 boots and 4 clay helms in my playtrough :)
