Mage, Impossible, No loss - fighting Arihamn, the Necromancer and Eric.

The strategy was to upgrade to order level 2 because of 2 reasons:

Level 2 Call of nature though costs 30 mana but can bring level 3 animals - meaning griffins or royal snakes Imagine ~ 950 leadership Worth of griffins, who always retaliate Nice!
Healing level 2 does about 200 damage and only costs 2 mana, Ideal to get rid of nasty Vamps or ghosts.
I had 37 mana so call of nature and 3 healings

I used the save game scanner till I had call of nature and healing on the first Island. about 5 tries made it. I was really lucky to get 8 scrolls from chests during battles but I only used 2, one to scribe and the other to cast Vs. the Necromancer.

I also got very lucky with Arihman, his army was only weak to my level 4 mage who had only the gloves with +50 leadership. His army was small enough so the call of nature that brought ancient bears was enough to slaughter him.

The Necromancer however had much bigger army - so I had to swap my unit position till I got griffins when I cast the spell (the random seed changes), The battled was Epic and went something like this:
round 1 he cast poison on my soothsayer who survived I call the griffins who charge in and starting retaliating.
round 2 he cast ghost blade on the griffins but there is still 6 of them. I use a call nature scroll to summon another stack this time it's those bees with with fire damage,
round 3 he cast sheep on the bees and I start to eliminate his stacks with griffins, healing and rage. to temp him to resurrect them
Rounds 4-5 he resurrect the dead I kill them and other units, my bears regenerate themselves.
Round 6-7 pretty much over, don't have mana but I have scrolls of damage.
Ended at round 8. No loss.

I was level 5 when I fought Eric, he also had a frightening big army but I had 10 intellect which was above 1K of leadership for the the call of nature who brought royal snakes! My 2nd preferred choice.
I used the soothsayer ability to make him attack his own slingers while the
snakes closed the range and the rest was healing to reduce his undead stack sizes and royal 15 royal snakes.

In terms of Randomness, it can be done, need a few mana and intellect shrines to be able to cast this spell strongly, need those scrolls obviously, and need a bit of luck with the heroes army composition. I had one really weak and one really big.

Going imp. no loss on the first 4 islands. regardless of the class you have to have 3 spells: heals, nature call and magic spring, the last one is almost a must for the spider.
