After Grotland

So I cleared out Grotland except for a hero stack that I can't attack at the moment, and now I'm a bit stuck. I'm supposed to be getting an alliance with the dwarves, but I can't get to Kordar (only New Kordar ie underground?) Help plz :-P

You should go to Riftland next. The entrance to it is in New Kordar in the bottom of the map.
