How can we get 3D models into CloD?

Chaps, does anyone know the process of installing 3D models into CloD? I *may* have some spare time in the future and wouldn't mind a bash a modelling some extras, but I have no idea how to get them into CloD. Any ideas on poly counts and texture sizes would be useful too.
