You can't enter the upper half of Demonis. It's just a leftover from the Legend (developers used several same maps there).

And you can't find Amelie, she's dead. You just gotta keep doing the quests. And forget about quests that you can't finish.

It's been 3 days since i've killed every enemy units in all the maps, still there's no way to finish a quest about orcs invading tungsinn, and now i'm giving up.

I've updated the game to the latest patch (1.31 if i remember correctly). And starting the whole thing again. :sad:

It may be a great game, but since there's too many bugs, i can't say i like it.

Hope they'll keep patching. Thanks anyway.

It's not necessary to ally with vikings or anyone to finish the game.

A quick feedback to the fixes from the 1st post.

The following bugs are still unfixed in WotN v1.3.1.6250. For them, I used the recommended fixes from the 1st post.

- Sense Weakness fix
- Soothsayer Ice Storm fix
- Trolls Pacify fix
- Ice Prison/Hilda's Arrows fix
- Mista's Lightning fix

The examples from the 1st post can all be found, so they're are still not fixed officially.

The following bugs/fixes are unclear (at least for me) in WotN v1.3.1.6250.

- Highterant fix

Seems like it got fixed or at least changed, because the coderange/example of code from Bhruic is not the same anymore, just parts of it.

- Various warning fixes

This fix is unclear, too many locations to change and the example is too inaccurate to determine the right spots.

Example:

Should this (line 4242):

..be changed? There are many more locations, that are just examples. They are not equal at all and some might be already fixed and maybe those fixed ones are all that need to be fixed. I'm not sure.

Maybe it's already fixed.

This:

Maybe it's already fixed?

This:
effect_freeze_attack(cell_found, t_shift, 3, nil, 1)

Became this (now line 6603, official):
effect_freeze_attack(cell, dmgtsi, 3, nil, 1)

I'm curious about this as well.
According to the patch: the patches replaces most of the fixes, except:
- Ice Prison/Hilda's Arrows
-Highterant eggs

i'm not sure if the patch fixed:
-- Fear (partial?) fix
- Various warning fixes
-blizzard

Can anyone confirm this?

I'd wager the new patch'll come with the collector's edition (or, whatever they'll call it).
That's the one I'm waiting for at least.

Too bad 1C Company doesn’t seem to care about the non-steam versions of this title, what with not being able to find any workable non-russian patch that solved all crashes.

Not really a fan of Steam and its inability to play older versions of a game (at least not without a big hassle) but in KB-WotN´s case i bought it purposefully from Steam so it would auto update to latest patch & it works like a charm.
Haven't had any crashes since. Period. :-P

(Sorry for posting similar posts in both "Bug" Threads, but since the threads are split i thought it might help someone not checking the other)

Hello guys!

Couldn't find any useful information regarding this issue (although it's being acknowledging not only by me - http://steamcommunity.com/app/203350/discussions/0/846944052812860975/), decided to post it here. Maybe someone will help me out...

When any of my units is getting poisoned, burned or freezed (once that has somehow happened when an orc's casted his magical axe on me), there's a strong possibility that it'll gain damage 0 (better to say 'infinite') and the entire unit will die at once. This is happening only with my troops, but quite often (up to 3 or 4 units in a single battle), so it's a common situation, yet extremely annoying. What is interesting, the log below doesn't specify the number of casualties; it only says something like 'Royal snakes got damage 0' (can't quote precisely). My difficulty level is 'Easy'.

Do you have any ideas? Any advice?

Is there any work around to the Fly the Banner quest? I am using 6250 and the patch notes on the first page says it should be fixed but it is not, Knud gives me no option to complete the quest.

I've had constant crashes every second time I use Chosha's Initiation skill. Any help because that's my favorite unit? I use v1.3.1 build 6280. Thanks!

I've fixed the bug when Warrior Maidens were resurrecting minions that died during past 2 moves, not rounds. Not it strictly follows its description.

For Warriors of North 1.3.1:

To make it work, extract the *.kfs file from the archive and put it to the sessions\addon directory.

I've noticed it gives more than 8% chance of getting another turn with another creature (12% for males). I have a druid that could attack 3 times in all, happens very often. Same with White Werewolves and the level 3 shooter in the same Frost race.

I don't know if it has been posted before. Also I'm playing it in my mod, Bonfire, but we haven't touched the Ice Nympf in the modding.

It looks like I'm the first who was able to catch that bug. When you attack, the damage is indefinite (zero).

The code for this mask is in arena.lua line 859-884 and looks like this:

Edit: After further investigation, the game doesn't get anything from the "damage" equation, I added a line that should set damage to 1 no matter what solution was calculated earlier, and the game still says 0, so I guess it is missing some kind of return value.

I would not say it's indefinite.
The damage never yields 0 (unless damage was <= 0 to begin with), but yes, it does yield 0 damage bonus in most cases.
Item allows wearer to hit weaker enemies with increased damage.
So, I think that's the idea.
That said, it looks ok to me.

Just found out how to enable dev mode with the Steam version, and the debugger seems to be unhappy with "nil" in line 861, so there is the main issue. Now I am pretty sure they never playtested the DLC when the game is screeming at me, that this is wrong.

So, first, make sure you have a shortcut to the game on your desktop. After that, right-click and press properties. After \kb.exe" section in Target, add " -dev", like this: \kb.exe" -dev (don't put comas after dev). Now, press Apply and then Ok. You can now play in dev mode by starting the game from the shortcut.

Right click your King's Bounty game in your steam library, Properties, Set Launch Options and type "-dev" without quotes of course. This starts the game in dev mode not just from a short cut.

I wouldn't have believed this topic was still active after so many years !
Now maybe it would be a good idea to have some kind of central repository for the fixes which can still be useful, like github although these kfs files would not be very convenient for git, but it's worth trying to setup something, most links in these pages are dead now, only the code directly displayed or the attached files are still usable...

Maybe some links can be accessed using webarchive. Also, are the bugs shown here in Ice and Fire too?
