It appears things are looking up.

I was reminded today of my old MSFT CFS2 days when I did quick missions. I remember quick missions with a bunch of CFS2 aircraft coming at me face on and I took them out like crazy... I recall doing the 4 v 1 for hours on end.

Then the remind part was going onto the Zone and getting dumped on like crazy with all the cheats.

Funny part is... As a newb I thought I could develop my skills to a high level offline and possibly be able to survive on the zone. It wasn't to happen.

The AI has been so bad for so long, with every air combat sim, except for Battle of Britain II WOV.

I'm hoping to read some good reports on the AI for COD.

AI is not an acronym that describes any computer controlled opponent in any game, AS fits the description way better. The AS in CloD is no different, whoever gets spotted first, gets engaged by every plane in the formation, even if fired upon. Not to mention that they manouver in a way, no human pilot can do at all. If i´m riding the buffet and see a 109 keeping up with me, even gaining on me, i´ll feel the need to crack some developer heads. I don´t mind if AS planes are not using fully simulated FMs, but they should at least behave believable. Stuff like this snaps you right out of the game, out of any game.

Like nearmiss say, BoB2 isn't AS, it is Ai. More human than human and not superhuman. If we had that AI in this sim my world would be pretty happy.

I can´t give any comments about the AI in BoBII, as i haven´t experienced this particular one in Action. Of course there are exceptions to the rule, which i should have noted of course.
