I am at a loss with this game. I rarely play it and am out of the loop as too what the updates are or aren't.

I bought my game from/thru Steam. I downloaded it. There doesn't seem to be any game files on my computer. Are they stored at Steam? Should there be some files on my computer like the old IL-2?

When I start the game, I have 1.05.15950 in the lower right hand corner of the menu screen. When I open up Steam and check for updates, it says there aren't any updates.

When I try to fly multiplayer in ATAG Axis vs. Allies, I get a 1.10 does not match 1.05. I use to be able to get in this server.

Help!

The game should be in your program files>Steam>Steamapps>common>Il-2 Cliffs Of Dover folder. All the files are there. There is also a 1C folder in your documents folder that holds some game files.

Steam only updates official patches.1.05 is the last official patch. There have been some betas(1.08) and a couple of release candidates(1.09 and 1.10).Betas and RCs have to manually d/led and manually installed.

All you need is the last RC2(1.10) if you want.

I do have the 1C folder in My Documents, but I do not have a Steam folder in Programs or Programs (x86).

This pathway "program files>Steam>Steamapps>common>Il-2 Cliffs Of Dover folder" does not exist in my computer.

Any ideas?

This is very odd. Can you play single player?

The " Program Files>Steam>Steamapps>common>Il-2 Cliffs Of Dover" location must be there ... somewhere on your PC disk.

Hmmm ... Do you have more than one HDD perhaps .... I dunno, just firing out ideas here now because, to get to the splash screen with the version etc, you will need to have these files somewhere.

Press the windows button in the lower left corner and type "Steam". This will find it. ;)

and/OR

Find the steam icon and right click it and select "open file location"

"Open File Location" worked.

I never gave this a second thought, but I have another game "Sniper" that works through Steam. The Steam folder is located on "E: Drive" inside of the Sniper folder.
So when I start CoD, it goes to the Sniper folder where Steam is located to open and play. Both games currently work. I guess the files are combined somehow?

Wonder if the Beta updates would wipeout Sniper?
