S!
Finally I have my new rig, CLOD is beautiful. I downloaded it 2 days ago and started to play and configure. It is not a game it is a simulator. I love it. In full real I have to know a lot of thing. I burned a few engines before discovering I have to open the radiator. My immediate problem is I cant find documentations in the game folder. Where is master switch, magnetos, primer, etc.
Where would a find this? Thanks every one.

Hi there are some videos on youtube etc. Some of the aircraft are different so it would help if we knew which one your were specifically after? Setting the controls can be a bit overwhelming at first but perseverance is the key.

I want to apply general key to all planes on the hotas, prop pitch, mixture, etc.
I belive you can click directly on the specific control with the mouse and you tube in fact would be great for this. But in combat clicking with the mouse would not be great, maybe only on the ground to start up. I will take a look.

Unfortunately the documentation for Clod is very sparse. There is a PDF manual in the manual folder in the IL2 folder in the common folder in the Steamapps folder in the Steam folder.
Steam>Steamapps>common>Il2 Sturmovik Cliffs Of Dover>manual

Thanks for the information on where to find the documentations. As suggested by 5./JG27.Farber I also went on Youtube and find some great videos. One of them pointed on this site,
http://www.flightsimvids.com/
Great videos and a PDF of 60 pages wich I will read.
Wow, lots of hours of fun in perspective.
Thanks every one.

Welcome to the beautiful world of CloD!!!
If you need "some" help with setting up key commands, here is a little kit...still requires you to do a lot of leg work, but allows you to customize how you want your keyboard setup (pencil and colored markers not included) and see a listing of all possible key commands.

It is a custom skin created by our squad leader, II/JG53-Valantine. I requested a skin with lots of yellow highlights and the image of "The Sower," from a US war poster. I told him to do as he wished with those two requirements. He does almost all our custom squad skins.

This is great, it will help me organize myself in the key mapping.
Would you know if there is somewhere a mapping for the Warthog Hotas.
I found one on Warthog World but does not work very well, I am a bit of a newbee. I was thinking of mapping it directly in IL2, your work will help, thanks.

.
You could also try this to note the controls;
http://www.pcpilot.hu/dokumentumtar/il-2-sturmovik/cliffs-of-dover/2245-il-2-cliffs-of-dover-blank-controls.html
.
It is not from me but from some one else post but very usefull.

I use a Saitek X52 joystick, sorry. But some of my squad mates use the Warthog, I will ask them.
I believe that the Warthog has a mini-stick? If you want to use it for zooming in and out (using FOV) here is a tutorial I did for the X52, should be similar I would think.
