Some guys in ATAG wanted to "test" yes Test only... the speeds of Red planes against the Blue planes when the Tempreture management is turned off. There was much debate if they could use Server 2 (a test server) to TEST this out.
This is the best video I have seen and just wonderful!!!

This is nothing new, depends if you want to fly "full real historical" or "condensed historical balanced"... Nothing new here. Its even joked about in the parody with the "Maybe they should double the flak on the German side of the channel, see how they like that?"
-beacuse some reds hide behind thier AA/A until a blue is sufficiently damaged to "score" a victory as they have "poor" flight models wheras some red pilots just go out and reap a blue harvest. Although I do support the reds with the flight models, dont get me wrong, I just hate the amont of Bofors in England however its in the interest of balance...
We all know ATAG2 is a "test" server but in the end it comes back to the two maps on ATAG 1. I personally dont think the temp effects will change peoples habits on ATAG... They only see that server anyway. So "fairing up the fight" will again work quite well for them. :-P
Good luck.

You guys will find a way of fairing up the server and making it fair i am sure.

Let's not start another discussion in regards to flak, the flak is adequate on both sides of the channel.

What are you talking about? Did you even read what Wolf said? This was a test for the FM with regards to the overheating problem with the red side. AKA - to help give info for the developers. I'm sorry some people play a video game differently than you do. I see no problem with the way anyone plays because it's their right to play that way in the 1st place. And how have I done anything to create fairness? Every single flyable plane is available in any amount of numbers.
Get off your high horse and realize this was exactly as stated in the OP, a joke, an inside one at that. But thanks for your .02 cents about "the people that play on ATAG" I'm sure the 0 people that play on your server fly correct.

Hey Warhound, I was thinking I was getting kicked out of the room also, till I realized Hitler knew who I was. And now I know what you lookalike from the vid I will hunt you down like I do Abortedman (I knew he was a blouse).
Man I still have tears in my eyes from watching this over and over.
This vid is going straight to the pool room. Just brilliant!

I heard temp effects were off cos red could not compete with blue on current flight model. I see no problem with it and I dont think it will put people off ATAG...

What you heard was not entirely accurate, but the reason Engine Temperature Effects was temporarily unchecked was to verify if the resulting change to the FM is the same on a major online server compared to what any of us can do ourselves offline on our own computers. Initial trials indicate yes.
We've done a number of side by side tests of various 109 models with their RAF counterparts (easily done on the Server) and the findings have been surprising. Again, this has been a test only to explore certain aspects of the online flight modelling of the CoD aircraft (others are checking the bombers of both sides) where side by side comparos can be quickly and readily done with experienced human virtual pilots. We have the main Server #1 which has remained Full Switch as an excellent reference for the same -- and current -- 1.08 beta patch.
Many have difficulty understanding the concept of running a test, and automatically assume that a temporary test is a permanent thing. Our Server #2 has done yeoman service as a testbed, primarily for new missions where many variables and glitches can be worked out. It is also doing exemplary service for us right now in running the temporary FM tests described above. It could conceivably be used for many other different types of testing in the future -- leaving the main Server #1 untouched. Many in ATAG understandably felt that, for the duration of any FM testing, Server #2 should be closed and passworded to avoid any confusion or misunderstanding of what the temporary testing means. However, other than by specific invitation, that would prevent non-ATAG fliers from having a 1 vs 1 try themselves out of interest or, hopefully, to relay their observances out of what specific changes they may have noticed to their favourite aircraft with ETE switched off vs ETE switched on (over on Server #1). Personally, I was in favour of a closed trial because of the possible reaction similar to that depicted in the ATAG parody video -- so many people automatically look to the worst of motives which don't actually exist.
The trial is expected to end shortly, as it is. Just a few quick tests to run, ETE will be switched back on, then back to mission testing per usual.

What??? That was a parody! Abortedman isn't a crying blouse......?
Sorry Snapper but I just don't believe you can re-write history that easy. The forum has documented events and It is clearly documented in history on YouTube that this video is actual footage from that time. And that the above is true. .........
But I agree with the rest u said

The "Figgy Duff" reference is a bit of an ATAG inside joke, maybe ATAG_Septic could explain it for us.
Basically a "Figgy duff" is a dessert that is common to folk from jolly ol' England. This stems from ATAG's "love of cookies". :)
PS, the YouTube uploader's name might be a bit of a hint as to who made it. ;)
