This last patch introduced some nice tracers and 100octane but messed up the trees, the hurricanes wont start and micro stutter is now worse then the last patch. This kind of thing happens with every patch.

I really want to like this game and see it succeed, but I heard someone say MG have lost control of the code. I agree.
Every patch seems to break as many things as it fixes.
I really cant play it in the currant state... pop up clouds, pop up trees, hurricanes wont start, disappearing enemy aircraft.

Still no AA that really works.

The programming was started so many years ago and many of the programmers have moved on. The currant team don't seem to know how to fix it.
Really a terrible shame.

S!

Pretty sure these issues will be fixed soon enough. I would not throw in the towel just yet :) And be happy that Luthier's team even fix something and have communication with us.

Can say that Wargaming.net which makes World Of Tanks has some of the crappiest customer attitude ever. 2 devs are openly hostile to anything German because "their relatives were killed by Germans in WW2"..WTF?! This is 2012, get over it already. Also if you report a bug or such the answer is: Working as intended, not going to be changed. But by gods if it concerns Russian tanks you can bet it gets changed 1st priority ;) *sarcasm*

So I am quite OK with the slowish patching of CoD as it happens and they listen :)

More like 10 steps back..
What annoys me the most is that apparently no one in the office is even testing the game. I mean you don't need glasses to see railways going across channel on water, do you?

Didn't you know? it's operation Seelöwe in full action. "Forget about those stupid Dutch barges! just put a railway track over that god forsaken creek of a channel Speer!"

Well, actually nobody forces you to install these beta patches at all. I still have the official patch installed only, I do not have the problems you mention here. I am pretty sure, that the next official patch will render most of us happy, although I still doubt that some things ever get fixed...

Theres absolutely NO reason to cut the cord and give in, just do something else for now, it will be all worth it eventually.

I desperately want the series to succeed. Lord only knows when another next gen WW2 sim will arise. It's so frustrating to see the future of a hobby that I hold so dear, bequeathed to a team that seems so very inept and so backwards in their grasp of good gameplay and game design.

2) release of patches for the troubled project, which means the contents of the command is usually only possible through the advance allocation of money for new development. In fact, correcting the previous project "eaten through" money allocated to the next. There is next - it means there will be no patches for the previous one, bye.

Given the above, the decision to finish the first full release of the past usually means instant death.

Also, all of the above applies to the gaming industry in general and do not necessarily reflect the situation within 1C.

Can someone analyse this a bit further? Are they taking a risk against the norm, as stated in the last sentence? Are they trying to find middle ground, between fixing this sim and not allocating to many dollars away from the sequel? Can this be detrimental to the possibility of a total fix?

Some of you guys in this industry would be in a better position, than I, to answer these.

I wouldn't hold your breath, Blacksix made a post six weeks ago saying that the Grass/Trees/Clouds would take 3 days each to fix and now they are worse then ever. Where did you get this info from addman? Can you give me a link?
