Not sure if this is a bug in the mixture setting. When I tackoff in the Hurricane, I am using the rich settings as described in the tutorial I have posted below. However, if you look at the tutorial and then actually look at the lever in the cockpit of the hurricane the lever is pointing to weak when the on screen mini display shows it as been rich:confused:

If i understand your question, the mixture level in the hurricane at its max rich setting is at maximum equal to throttle position.
Sorry for my terrible english...
Wait...
maybe the mixture leves is at min (lean) permitted position when is aligned with the throttle lever, and at max (rich) position when full aft, in opposite direction compared to the mini display.

If you look in the cockpit of the Hurricane you can just make out some writing near the mixture lever saying rich & weak. When the lever is pushed forwards it is right where it says weak, but the mixture is actually rich according to the mini display on your screen. On the mini display I take it that rich is when the gauge is at the top on the mini display, is this correct? This is no big problem but I am just wondering if this is normal.

it has already been discused (see search function). As far as i know, it´s kind of "invertet", meaning that rich is closer to your body and weak is at the position of full throttle.
This seems to be historically correct...
(you can invert your axis if you want it the other way....)

Maybe I should just ignore the lever in the cockpit because it's confusing when one lever says weak and the onscreen display shows it as been rich. So am I right in thinking I should just concentrate on the onscreen mini display?

From what I understand, the OP is saying that the onscreen display is opposite of the lever position label.Whatever position it may be in.
If the lever says weak the screen say rich.If the lever says rich the screen says weak.
Not whether forward lever is weak or rich.

For the Hurricane i'm not sure, hardly fly them. For the Spitfires the Mixture Rich should be towards the pilot as shown in the Pilotnotes and described. Ingame it is the opposite. I'm sure it's discussed somewhere in a thread but i'm not aware of any fixes.

I'm going to ask the question another way because i am still confused about where I should set this to be at a rich mixture. Should I forget the lever in the cockpit and just look at the on screen mini display, if the answer is yes does the gauge on the mini display have to be up for rich and down at the bottom for weak? I have been trying to find this out for what seems an age now lol.
@Troll2k - That's exactly what I mean, but I still don't know which one is right. I'm still wondering if the onscreen display is up for rich and down for weak? Looks like nobody else has a clue aswell judging by the posts so far.

Yes - the onscreen display slider is correct, so up is rich and down is lean for all aircraft.
The mixture lever in Spitfire cockpits is bugged - wrongly showing fully forward as rich instead of fully back towards the pilot.
(haven't tried the Hurricane personally, so don't know if it's same)

In the Hurricane it's towards the pilot for rich and weak forwards. However, when it's on weak it is actually showing as rich on the mini display.

So the conclusion. Working from the cockpits in full real setting (my personal preferred way) you'll have to watch the text because of the bugged handles for setting, just using mapped keystrokes it's ok and you don't have to bother about it (with a wrong mixture the engine will protest anyway). The handles aren't the only issues in the pits.
