My question is about the computers being used during the development and testing of Cliffs of Dover.
Every one is posting there system specifications in their forum signature, can you please post the computer hardware and soft ware used by the development and testing team.
Motherboard:
Processor:
Memory:
Video Card:
Sound Card:
Operating System:
Thanks

I have to bump my friend's post here.
I really feel this is critical information.
It seems that the machines that the development team are using don't have the problems that many (most? ) of the rest of the playing community do.
Just looking at the comments in both of the beta patch sticky threads, it seems that low end machines are seeing some improvement, yet the majority of players with mid to high end computers are seeing little, if any improvements, and in some cases have seen performance degradation.
Knowing exactly what machines Ilya and the rest of the team are using to actually play the game would be a big help I think.

It doesn't matter what hardware they use. From what I've seen since the release, I don't think the guys working on the graphics understand all the code they work with.
This is the only thing that could explain the fact that the game is looking crappier and getting more and more bugs from patch to patch.
The graphics engine was put together by a very talented programer, that was fired some time before the release. The graphics engine was not finished and they got rid of the guy that knew how it worked and how to finish it.
The guys hired to do his job are obviously not up to the task, since there's such a strong contrast between the parts of the game that came with the release and the crappy stuff added or "fixed" after.
I don't think this game is saveable with the team working on it at this time. :(

If you look at the polls, most of the comunnity is getting better performance

A follow up to my curiosity about the computers used:
Do you build your own computers?
Do you or any one at 1C play COD? You know, at lunch time do you fire up the game to see who the next ace of aces is going to be.
Thanks
(I hope I'm not being to nosey)

Bound to happen if you cut out or turn off more and more eye candy.

Come on guys, let’s stay on topic …
I’m interested in the computer systems that the 1C team has used (past) and are using (current) during the development and testing of CoD and it would be fun to know how many team members play the game (not work related).
I started playing IL2 with a Pentium 3 866 with 1 gig of ram, NVIDIA 4600, Windows ME and it cost more money than my [edit] current system.

There's your problem using a currant system; try a sultana or rasin system.

Exactly..... I asked the same question as BP_Tailspin six months ago, for the same reasons. Getting accurate comprehensible data from 1c has been a frustrating PITA. Why?
Info in the last couple of weeks has been better from them. It still has a ways to go.... Answering, BP_Tailspin's reasonable inquiry would be a demonstrable Good Start. Like many others, I have chased this game with my checkbook, to no avail and at an expense of approximately $1500.00 in the last 14 months.
I'm just curious?
How much has 1c spent on hardware for this game?
My question is for 1c only.

When they anounced performance gain of "up to 50% in some situations"
they said it was on i7 870 and gtx570.
I don't remember where, here or on sukhoi.

What you asked for was reasonable BP_Tailspin.
I tried to help.
I believe the truth of this "situation" is becoming evident to all.
Thanx for trying.
