I have recently upgraded everything except CPU.
I now cannot run, the blackdeath track with out
getting the launcher.exe error....CPU is the only
part O'Ced...@ 3.6 All else is stock.

Graphics card settings are all med to low?
My current system specs are in my sig.

I'm wondering? If, I should attempt to re-install the game?

Thanx...

Does it fail immediately?

Everyone gets Launcher failure, but after flying for a while.

S!

I would check BIOS and update if required. Also check voltages etc. as they can vary if you changed to another chipset etc.

Thanx for the response.

The sim loads and starts normally, I select the "Black Death" track and start it. I watch 99-100 percent of it and then the Launcher.exe problem...requiring a trip to the Task Manager to end the program. I have not tried to "fly" the sim.

All temps are "normal". Some increase in GPU from 31-59 degrees C.

Old Mobo was a Gigabyte 790FXT-UD5P.
New MObo is a Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3
When installing the new Mobo, I used the listed chipset drivers on the
enclosed dvd that came with it...I have no other "known" problems with this
install. I am running the latest drivers from Nvidia on the 570HD.

I'm thinking "Driver Sweeper" or similar program and a re-install of the Mobo drivers and Vid card drivers?

Any thoughts appreciated.

Fixed:grin:

Uninstalled and reloaded graphics driver and that seems to have fixed it.

I had really hoped to have seen more difference between the GTX570HD and the GTX465....not much difference IMHO....maybe, it will make a more pronounced visual change in game?

Thanx all for taking the time to help.

S!

I would remove any traces of old drivers as they can cause strange problems. For example I was cursing why my TrackIR does not work and in the end it was a driver issue of the GPU. Went back to WHQL and worked like a charm again.

This is a good software, but it does not clean all dll. files and such stuff. For a perfect solution use ccleaner first and then use Driver Cleaner Pro!
Both are free software! I use both each time i install a new Catalystversion!

I use ccleaner regularly...I recommend it as well.
I used in game default settings (Medium) for graphics and
had a reasonable framerate, according to Fraps....No launcher.exe
error....at least not for the twenty or so minutes that I was wringing
it out....Trackir 4pro worked perfectly...

Again, Thanx All

Will test more later...and report.
I'm hoping I've got this little booger....fingered out.
