"Also coming is what we call “seated” or “10-joint” skeletal tracking, which provides the capability to track the head, neck and arms of either a seated or standing user. "

Maybe this is why they don't support TrackIR in MS Flight... They want to push internal products... Jason from 777 Studio also seems to think so (http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3529155/Re_MS_Flight_Beta_screenshots.html#Post3529155).

Does the PC Kinect have a higher sample rate? The Xbox is limited to 30fps and when you watch videos of the head tracking in Fornza there is definite lag between movement and the screen.

Things dreamed of in this thread becoming true step by step:

Moving levels and hitting buttons in the air will be next, just as weird as looking at a guy 'speaking alone' at the bluetooth while walking on the street ;oD. Wait and see!

Regards,

Engadin.

with the flight sim community being as small as it is it would be crazy to not support what over the last 12-13 years has become the standard for head tracking systems. this will put a lot of customers off side straight up, i know
that personally i won't buy or play any sim type game, or first person shooter
that does not support TIR use!

Who knows... you may be able to do it with Facetracknoir, if you draw a little face on the end....... :D

I may post results later this evening. :D
