Help reinstalling from dvd can I?

Hi all,
Having some major issues with the game and I was wondering if I can uninstall then reinstall it back on steam with out any problems! I have the cd version. If that makes any sense lol

Yes i have installed and reinstalled on a number of occasions using the DVD.

Just click delete local content under the game in steam

If i were you though i would create a backup version so you dont have to re download all the updates again. Currently its squeezes on a DVD and CD
