I've been waiting since early this year for this game,(Im an huge fan of the original Il2 since 2003) but when i saw all the technical issues i pushed away buying the game at the moment.

THE PROBLEM.

Game runs fine, HD resolution, some settings on high and some on medium, but after something like 5 or 6 minutes my game just crash, it freezes and when i press Alt Tab i see the "Il2 Cliffs of Dover has stopped working".

Its very random, it happen playing alone or in combat, i know its not much for you guys to know what is happening, but any information needed ill answer.

Thanks.

By the way, i have an GTX460 with the latest beta patch (I need it for Bf3). Core i7, 3gb ram.

My english is damn bad, i know, im sorry.

The crash is common, but the timing isn't. 5 mins is way too short but I would take a look at your ram because 3gb isn't a lot - Win XP???? - Get onto Windows 7 and increase your ram, should run ok then but you will still get crashes, after 1hr or so, it's got memory leaks. When it's patched I expect then to all go though.

Acctually i have Win7, but i dont want to increase my RAM, i play some older games and i dont want to mess nothing up by installing the 64bit version.

About the timing, in the Quick Mission thing, yes, on Crossover i barely have time to take off and fly a little.

But on FMB, on the smaller maps, ive played for like 30 minutes with no problems

Yes, you are running out of RAM. You won't mess up 32 bit games by installing a 64 bit system. I don't see why you upgraded at all nor installed that kind of hardware in order to run old 32 bit games tbh. It's like buying a faster car but refusing to use the 5th and 6th gears.
