Well i tried again ClOD last night and i tried "two" things..using ATI stock Catalyst Control Center and Radeon Pro
Well what a world of difference !!!! With the stock one I get poor FPS stutter all over the place something that everyone complain about .. ...........But everything change as soon as I change my CLOD profile under the Radeon Pro app ( fallow my Nvidia instinct ;) )... now.. getting ultra smooth sim high FPS .. woot ! How ATI could do that? the catalyst IS a POS !!! arrrgg!!!

Now we're getting somewhere!!

That is good info!

As I have long expected.. Alot of the 'issues' with CoD are due to the user's PC!

This info just confirms that notion!

The notion based on the FACT that CoD runs fine on one PC and not another

Even when the hardware on the two PCs is identical!

Which means it has to be config/setup issues like you found are more than likly the cause of 'most' of the complaints with CoD

Lol!
Man dont quote him! I like not seeing anything more than
"This message is hidden because ACE-OF-ACES is on your ignore list."
When you quote him it defeats the block!!!

More actual info - please, settings as much as you can...
Maybe the after market tool just ignors the ubi promo vid and that is making the diffrence?

Thanks

Yeah that's it
At least it was for GOZR

And I suspect it is something similar for a lot of others too

Why?

Well as Sherlock Holmes would say elementary my dear r0bc

Using 'deductive reasoning'

FACT we know CoD does run fine on some PCs
FACT we know CoD does NOT run fine on some PCs

Hence the murderer is the PC

As it was in GOZR's case

In that if CoD was the murderer.. CoD would not run fine on any PC

Which should not confused with saying there are no problems with CoD!

As with all software, there are bugs to fix and things that need changing

But based on deductive reasoning we KNOW the PC is the root cause for some if not most of the problems

Where PC is defined as the hardware (vid card, mb, etc), OS (service pack, drivers, etc), other software apps (virus checkers, pop-ups, etc) running, etc.. That list of alone should cause one to take pause before pointing the finger at CoD

At least it would for those who apply deductive reasoning' ;)

Not sure my framerates have improved, but they do not seem any worse and I can now get high levels of Anti-Aliasing. Looks much better. More testing needed though.

Well, what settings did you enable/disable with this little tool that make it run so much smoother? Process high priority on, disable aero, texture and mipmap quality, cpu affinity, trilinear filtering on, vsync off, tesselation off? Please be a bit more specific.

Well it all depend of how you setup things and what hardware you have really, but this is a quick profile for ClOD but this week i will look more into it deeply.

Well try that for now..
