They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

RIP to all who have passed in all conflicts, gone but never forgotten.

And also.................. A thought for the animals that have served and aided the war efforts over time. As it says on the cenotaph "They had no choice".

and godspeed a safe return to all serving.

Amen Scotty..................

And to all those who fought and died in the first World War.......

A poem from Wifred Owen...............Sums it up

So Abram rose, and clave the wood, and went,
And took the fire with him, and a knife.
And as they sojourned both of them together,
Isaac the first-born spake and said, My Father,
Behold the preparations, fire and iron,
But where the lamb for this burnt-offering?
Then Abram bound the youth with belts and straps,
And builded parapets and trenches there,
And stretched forth the knife to slay his son.
When lo! an angel called him out of heaven,
Saying, Lay not thy hand upon the lad,
Neither do anything to him. Behold,
A ram, caught in a thicket by its horns;
Offer the Ram of Pride instead of him.

But the old man would not so, but slew his son,
And half the seed of Europe, one by one.

Amen

your rememberance day is like our memorial day in the USA if i am not mistaken.some people seem to mix up veterans day and memorial day in the USA.

I would love the chance to sit with some vets and just listen to their experiences.
