Hello

As some of you regular forum readers may know (or maybe not), I have been crusading the Dev's to make Launcher exe failure problem to be top of their hit list for the next upgrade. As a pauper flyer who has to soldier on with an "archaic PC" (not my words) until I can afford a better spec machine, I have to grab every fps I can. In my hunt for more fps, one of my squadron members recommended me to try Game Booster 3. For those of you who don't know what GB3 is I'll explain. Game Booster 3 is a freeware small program that shuts down non essential windows applications whilst in games. I've consistently got 5-10 fps gain whilst using this program with (fingers crossed) no problems with Windows. Now GB3 doesn't cure L-e failure, but what it does do is drop you back to desk top most times, not requiring System Manager or even worse, reset starts! If you do try GB3, let us know how you find it. Before you try GB3, don't forget to set a restore point. As the TV advert says, "every little helps"....

C'est la vie

May help on 4GB systems. I use a free version with every game.

I agree about the 4Gb. I appreciate you placing your missions on this thread, although until the Dev's can come up with an answer to L-e failure problem, I will only be able to fly on the Steppe/Volcanic Island/Carrier War servers. I thank you for at least giving us "paupers" something to fly in!!!!

Kindest regards

I have used GB3 and had no problems or conflicts with Win7, but really found no difference in fps or smoother game play so I no longer use it.

GB3 will indeed free up a small amount of memory and help some older systems and/or lower Ram specs cope with the demand that CLoD needs to run.

I think I might get a small performance boost on my system from GB3, but I do like the fact that I can simply hit Esc when I get a launcher crash and it frees my system.

Thanks for contributing Cheesehawk. United we will win the battle!!!
