Even if I set visual weathering to 0, my Spitfire looks like this:

Before the beta patch 0% vw gave me a nice and clean machine.

What happened??

Not to mention that if your pilot wears an Irvin jacket, its sleeve is visible through the port side of the fuselage in outside view. (see the same screenshot)

Must be the British paint ;) Same quality as their Lucas electrical devices :D On the mor serious note, the weathering looks good from distance, but from cockpit like low rez ones, like they were 8-bit instead of 32-bit..

No, you don't get it. Compare the above picture with this one. Same skin, 0% visual weathering, but one is pre beta patch, the other one was taken after the latest one.

S!

I was joking about the paintjob. And yes the 0% weathering should give a factory fresh plane as in those pics. I also commented that the weathering itself on any plane looks good only from distance, like in a screenshot. But from cockpit you can see it is low resolution in a way. But better than nothing.

I have questioned this as well, I can only hope they reset it to 'zero' as the current set looks like a badly sandblasted job

I found out that the Hurricane is bugged too. It always has 0% weathering :(

Aaand all my 109s are fully weathered too. Why is that so?!

Have to say that's a FANTASTIC shot reflected.

Also is it me or does the 3rd shot show some of the lighting some might say we have lost (wings in particular)?

Yes, please bring back the slider to the way it was, who on earth actually thought it would be a good idea to have a slider that goes from 0%-100% weathering when 0% really isn't 0%?! It's unnecessary and weird changes like this that actually makes you question the development team sometimes. I can see it front of me, a staff member sitting in his chair rolling his thumbs because project management is so all over the place that he actually hasn't been assigned to any specific task even though there is plenty to do. Along comes some kind of manager "hey you! you have nothing to do? ok, mess up the weathering slider while I go count the paper clips in my desk drawer"....sigh.

Yeah, this is a great example of where the devs take two steps forward and 1 and 3/4 back.

It's also a great example why guys on here get so frustrated, and rightly so with the devs and the whole update business.
