We need a gun cam that will start rolling when pressing the trigger and stop after a few seconds of releasing. This only needs to be a series of gif files at minimum without sound. But it would be nice to be on a full real server and be able to see just the gun camera rather than from within the cockpit only.

Actually you can find a "gun camera" switch(you can´t use so far) in the hurricane(near the pitot-heating(which is close to the magnetos)), so if the switch is already there, why not?:)

I now demand it. This has to be part of the sim.

Perhaps this is the promised secret feature Luthier spoke about? ;)

I'd gather that it shouldn't be, given that such a feature is already present in BoB2. Luthier said the feature was completely new, and had never been seen before in such a simulator.

Honestly I'd rather them just have properly working ntrk recordings. Far more versatile, and getting authentic-looking "gun cam" footage is really only a matter of using FRAPS from wonderwoman view and applying a post-processing filter.

I asked about this back in July 2010. Got a good response, so fingers crossed it's in the pipeline.

Interesting. Did all Hurricanes have the switch and cameras at all times? Or were the cameras sometimes in the planes, but the switches were always there (like bomb arm switches, you still have the switches even on missions you didn't take bombs)?
I don´t think so... I just found a few pictures without these switches and one with switches at that position but used differently(Fuel pump on, etc.)
