Black smoke trails

For quite some time now there does not seem to be any of the black smoke trails from enemy aircraft when hit, just little white puffs and sometimes a thin white trail (possibly fuel vapour from a ruptured fuel tank). With the early release of the sim the black smoke was there. Have the Dev team toned this down to improve frame rate? No big thing, just wondered, that's all.

I have black smoke on a regular basis, really, both the light and the thick black one.

is not the same when the sim first released i think
