(I'm hoping SQUADRONS can be given given a SubForum)

56 Sqdn RAF (v) is recruiting for CoD.

A nucleus of us have moved from IL-2 '46 to CoD were we are looking to build up the Squadron (in IL-2 '46 we had an active roster of 18 with actual turnouts of 10-14)

We have been around in combat flight sims since the 1990s (Aces High, IL-2, CoD) and we are currently flying on the excellent ATAG server. We prefer to fly the mission objectives and whilst we are primarily a fighter Squadron we also like to run escorted bomber missions to achieve those objectives (now available on the ATAG server). We are also happy to support other units or groups on the server.

We operate using appropriate formations depending on mission scale, from the basic pair through Sections of four, Flights and whole Squadron when we get back to our full number.

We can provide combat and bombing training (without getting heavy-handed about it) and can assist with PC setup, questions etc..

Our website (below my sig) gives an idea of what we are about. The Recruitment link is active and all requests/enquiries come to me.

Look us up and if you are interested use the Recruitment link to get in touch.

No captains in the RAF old boy! (apart from Group Captain) Not sure if any of 56 sqn are called Roger though... ;)

Thanks Moggy.

We don't run our own servers excpet for training sessions when I usually host throught the game.

We ususally fly on the ATAG server (via Sten=an or Hyperlobby).

No but in your case we could make an exception if it makes you feel more comfortable :D

We are also careful about how we use the word 'Roger' :)

I don't want to sound like a fanboy or whatever but I applied to join and have found the lads (there's no lasses yet) a great bunch to fly with. The teamspeak chatter (something I was worried about) is kept to a relevant minimum and helpful friendly advice when needed.

Give it a go.

when and what time zone you guys usually fly? I'm kind of looking for a decent english speaking squadron. MY time zone is GMT +9

We're GMT/Euro time

Generally 7:30pm - 11pm UK time

Sounds like you are USA West coast or further?

Korea. He's +9, not -9. Not easy for him to fly from 2:30am till 6am ... :D

Ooops! My bad. Same result though, he won't be able to fly Euro time unless he rks a strange shift.

wanabetheace perhaps you could advertise for a Squad in your timezone+/- an hour or so.

I'd like to see a subforum for Squads or a Sticky for this thread so CoDders can get more organised on line.
