I timed the spit IIa in how long it takes to warm to 72c and it took 4.14 minutes from the time I hit the start button to the temp reaching 72c, is there any way to speed this up with-out destroying the engine, 4 minutes seem to be a long time for warming up. I know the plane crew may have done this for the pilot but we don't have that option in this game. Thanks TC

you ever warmed up one of the radials in the game? :D

sorry, couldnt resist ;)
a realism feature "warmed up engines" ( RoF players know what i mean ) would be very nice!

oil temp of 30c is ok for takeoff....

=> You can increase boost to zero and warm up will be reduced to one minute.
=> Keep radiator closed until 80°C.
=> When engines rpm increases also increase power in order to keep your boost.

but do not get too high or it will damage the engine. If so it will bump in normal conditions and loose power soon.

Take it to approx 30/40 deg then advance the throttle slowly, when it 'coughs', retard it then advance again slowly, should be fine after that to take off
