View Full Version : Nvidia Driver upgrade affects Trees?
I was running 275.xx and upgraded to 280.xx drivers. I have trees set to Low and with the upgrade - no trees (I didn't try higher settings!) Rolled driver back and trees are back..
Think I will stick with 275.xx driver as I am not sure what else the 280.xx upgrade will affect.
I only mention this because Luthier asked for driver versions to be included in any bug reports and I may well have confused this as a beta bug.

I would post this in the bug thread anyway, they need to know about it.

I am running the latest nvidia beta driver 285.xx and I am rather happy with the performance and look of the game.
I used the 270.xx whql driver before since I was never quite happy with the drivers after that, but the new beta driver seems to run very well.
I have trees at medium though.

Turn trees to OFF while in mission. Pause game, then go back and switch on again to preferred level and they reappear. Had this problem for months now.
I wonder if that driver version only has a problem with trees or wether there may be other glitches that are not so obvious? I will try the 285 beta driver but driver 275 seems to work OK - better the devil you know comes to mind. Thanks for the 'fix' tip - it may be useful to others with the 280 driver.

If you are running a Nvidia HD audio chipset maybe ?

Hmmm, it didn't roll back my settings, in game settings that is. I always do a clean install for the drivers, so the nividia cp settings I had to set again.
I am not using the audio driver part though.
