Single Gigabyte GTX 480 Super OC on a cheap Dell LCD at 1600 x 1200 at 60Hz

Decided to reduce to 1280 x 1024 so I can spot planes in Multiplayer. I really do find plane spotting rather tedious...more contrails might help but probably not realistic.

AMD HD6970 for me. I prefer single-card solutions because most of the time they will easily get you over the 60FPS mark if they are the latest model and you get much less trouble with them compared to dual cards.

I also prefer AMD cards because the price-to-performance ratio is better than Nvidia's, which is important since video cards usually get upgraded two or more times in a PC anyhow.

Twin gts450's Sli, running ok but with minor micro pauses only, after setting "Invidia Inspector" profile. Certainly we could do with Sli/Crossfire support to achieve what this sim promises. The last patch saw some good improvements, lets hope the developers and Invidia / Ati get together to sort out the multi-graphics formats like other developers have.

Was determined not to change from my now less than average 5770 until more development improved things, but since RoF also now has problems with AMD, I'm tempted to go buy a GTX570/580. Nvidia seem to communicate with devs so much better.

Edit: in fact I just ordered a gtx570 superclocked.

My sig is a joke (of course) I'm running 2 x GTX 570 SC in SLI and also a second comp with a single ATI HD6970.

Interesting results so far, as expected most are on Nvidea single cards then ATI single card users second, but surprised to see the higher than expected percentage of Nvidea SLI users that dwarfs ATI crossfire users.

I'd really like full SLI support for CoD too, my main reason for going SLI on my main Flight Sim PC is to go three screens though.

As it happens I have RoF installed on both of my high end PC's, one I7 920 @ 4GHz with a HD6970 and my newer I7 2600K @ 4.8 GHz with 2 x GTX 570's in SLI, even on just one GTX570 RoF runs much better, have RoF installed on both rigs and just updated RoF on the ATI card rig earlier today to test, its runs pretty good but not as sweet as the Nvidea rig with the 570's ... I'm no fanboy BTW or I'd not have bought an ATI HD 6970.

I'm making my I7 2600K with 2 GTX570's my primary flight sim rig now and the older I7 920 with HD6970 my main gaming rig ... playing the Dues Ex HR on it and loving it.

If I were you I'd go for a GTX580 over a 570 though, that's my regret ... sometimes I just don't push the boat out enough.

Yeah I know, but having read about a thousand benchmarking comparisons I couldn't justify an additional £100 for an additional 10 FPS!

£10 per frame per second was just enough to make me choke on my cup of tea.;)

My graphic solution is not listed but .....

I run a GTX 295 which has two GPU but it is not SLI.

It runs COD good at high settings and good FPS so far.

Yes you need a SLI profile just like dual card setups, works exactly the same only your two chips are on the same PCB rather then in two different slots, without a profile your running at about the same speed as a GTX 275.

I know where you are coming from, don't worry, your GTX570 will serve you well for many years to come, its a great card. Flight sims have never really used the power of the GPU and prefer the CPU and I dont see that changing any time soon ... all flight sims I own just now love the GTX570.

Thanks for the information. Can I review and understand my profile (I did not know about it)? Where can I find it (if I have one it came with the PC which is Alienware)?

Sorry missed your post yesterday.
The SLI profiles are normally installed VIA the graphics driver however something broken in the game and Nvidia hasn't added it yet but you can force it to work. Some people have had good luck with it and some of us haven't.
There's number of threads explaining how to do it.

The devs are working on 3D now and they may need to fix FSAA to make it work, its going to need a stereoscopic 3D compatibility profile so it may catch someones attention. At least I'm hoping
