Windows installed the drivers all by itself?
Hmmm....how did you install the 275... driver, "normal" or custom choosing clean install?

i just go to unistall or remove programs and unistall them
the w7 has a future to detect whether drivers missing
and search downloading and install them automatically if you haven't any driver installed
the problem is that i don't know which driver i.m running now
the control panel of the nvidia is the 275.33 [better performance for me]
so i supposed i'm running them now
is that correct
i install them normal

if you dont uninstall the drivers before you update.. Windows keeps the older version still.. So when you goto uninstall the one your own.. when you reboot windows it will detect the last drivers you had and install them.. You can keep hitting Uninstall though until you reached the last drivers that was first installed.. and it will finally not detect anymore for it.

You are no longer required to remove the older driver before installing the new one, just select "Clean Installation" during the installation process and the new NVIDIA installer will do the rest.

Based on your description you are currently using the 275.33, you can check in the NVIDIA control panel by clicking on "System Information" in in the lower left corner.

uninstall from Programs and Features panel, and reboot... Windows installs Standard VGA drivers in 800x600... Run the nVidia set up and select custom/ clean install... never a problem

or if you're just installing a new release, just run the setup and select Custom/ Clean Install
