ok
here's a little tip that i found out
my native resolution is 1920-1080 60hz
so i set this in game
the problem was that i've got some stutters and when i hit the Esc button i was getting some black screen for a while
sometimes get me to the desktop
so the solution was to change in game options the native resolution that i've got
in this case 1920-1080 60hz to 1920-1080 59hz
now the game runs much better and the good news is that when i press Esc i don't get anything:-P

I thought 59 HZ was the European electrical standard and 60 HZ was the North American Standard. That you set your monitor according to the HZ coming out of your particular wall outlet.

The 59Hz is actually 59.94Hz, a TV refresh rate. Windows7 shows it as an option for compatibility, but I don't see why it would apply to a desktop monitor.

59.94 half frames per second or 29.97 frames: NTSC frame rate

50Hz is the European A/C cycle

Some monitors are set at 59 Hz (not 59.94) for some good reason

I stand corrected.The European electrical standard is 230v 50HZ.

59HZ is the refresh rate.

Skouras, I don't see a 1920x1080 59Hz option. Did you mean 50Hz in OP? Changing to 1600x900, 50Hz made no difference for me but thanks for posting anyway.

Are you using full screen or pseudo?

full screen
i check it again

in the game video options resolution
i'm running on full screen no pseudo

1920-1080 60hz
1920-1080 59hz[ i check this one ]
1680-1050 60hz
1680-1050 59 hz....
..............

and so on so on

i don't change anything via my Nvidia settings
in Nvidia my change resolution option is the native one
in this case 1920-1080 60hz
so i leave it there

jimbop probably your native resolution is 1600x900 and don't expect to find a 59hz
i have seen it in many other games for example in BFBC2

1680-1050 59 hz....

and so on so on

Options in mine are 60 and 50Hz for each resolution. Perhaps it is defined by monitor capabilities?
