all eye candy and not fun

like marrying a hot blonde thats gonna torture you the rest of your life :(

im having such a blast playing for days morning evening and night a poker 600 k game that i realize im still a child

where are the games where you tested your time reaction

where you had to think to win

where you didnt murder your brohters but destroy aliens and monsters

wheres the old style of have fun instead of looking good

why i cant run skipping to take the bus if it takes less efort if we all do as childs :((you see theyre taking our fun away :(

Yep thats where i started my Online flying career, but i actually started the game playing as Infantry..used to love that game

i could never work out though why it looks ugly given the amount they rake in every month from players/members?

Raaaid, you should be a comedian pal.
I've never heard someone refer to something they don't like as 'sith' :-P lol

I have to say though, I can't see what's wrong with CloD (in terms of violence). It's a simulation of real life. You're not playing a renegade batman; you're just put into the shoes of a pilot who served either side in 1940.
(Note; the renegade pilot mission is omitted from this statement :-P )

Haha! He's just following rule#13... Works for me:)

As to I-Candy... It's like expecting the hardware guys to stop getting faster and smarter... And if I could afford to best hardware (big if), then I want toys and loads of candy ( ...sweets doesn't really work here, does it?)

Anyway, it's a catch 22 thing... And I don't see myself growing up anytime soon!

I've read a review of LA Noire that said it is visually stunning and also is very engrossing.

I think John Carmack had a sensible answer for this question. From memory it goes something like...

'A good game is a good game, but the same game with better graphics is a better game'.

Of course, 'better' here is debatable. I've seen plenty of remakes that fell short of the charm of the original, for example. But I think Carmack's being pragmatic.

Games are a visual medium.. If I want something with an amazing plot- I will probably turn to a good novel, rather than next week's first person shooter.
