Talking to Ratman the other night he mentioned he bought a 1/18 RC P40. Recently I have been thinking of getting a decent RC model.
We had threads in the past on this but with so many new members I figured would fire up a new one.
I will kick off with my new tank :-)
I love WW2 aircraft but also love WW2 tanks. I was going to try get an RC spit but realized it would be seldom I would get chance to fly it. As a substitute I have bought an RC tank. Most reasonably priced ones are either Shermans or Tigers. I love both those tanks but would rather have something different
Found a great RC Panzer IV in the sales.

Has anyone else here got an RC plane or tank?

Nice thread.
I've always loved WW2 planes and also been amazed by some of the RC planes i have seen. I fear my skills and free time are not enough to warrant purchasing one though.
Whilst EBAYING my beloved Hawker Hurricane today though (yes im sad i know!) i came across this little beauty, which needless to say got my imagination going in to over drive.
Do i? Dont i?
Hmmmm

After a trip through a local park when the Tiger 1 broke rear axle off due to mud compacting.......it was rebuild time over the winter.....what started off as a few new parts ended up with a full rebuild with high quality German parts and a replica paint job.....( sSS-PzAbt.101 3Kommpanie Italy 1944)

Those are sweet Boar. I was going to get a BB Heng Long Tiger but 1/16 is a touch too big. The Panz IV is 1/24 with infrared battle system. There is a PAK gun emplacement also in the sale for £15 which has scanner to detect tanks and fires on them when they get in range. Going to pick up one of those then another tank at some point for battling!
What make are those you have there?

They are Heng Long.......Tamiya cost 10x as much !!.......BEWARE......this hobbie will eat money once you get into it.........:-P
The Tiger 1 has more parts to convert it into mid-production model.......and a Normandy paint job for the winter.......
The Jagdpanther.......(ok I admit , this one is mine ! ) .......will get a new paint job......upgraded parts and motors........
Great way to have fun with the kids.......the upgraded battery packs will let them run for about a mile & half !!!
Enjoy dkwookie ..........you will get hooked !

I just ordered the PAK 40 anti tank gun. That was on sale half price for £15.
The King Tiger looks like a beast so I reckon it's that next. That Jag is lovely Boar. We need a forum tank battle meet up :-)

Never really been all that into tanks, However those little RC tanks look great, tidy little machines. Loving the M270, might just invest in one of these ;)

You will have fun with these Gilly. Mine turned up this morning from Tesco. Was expecting 1/72 scale mini ones but these are big buggers. Estimate 1/32-1/28 scale. Nice accessory pack with them too with some Walls to hide behind etc. Best fiver I spent this year
