I have found a solution to the stutters, jitters, multiplayer sound bugs and other performance related problems, I have thrown away my 285 SLI setup and replaced it with a single 580!

I am surprised but it seems that even the sound bug has gone away!

Though i have recently spent £1500 quid upgrading my rig... i havnt changed my two BFG GTX 280 Cards....

At one point i did disable SLI but with the recent patches, my 280s' still work a treat... think ive had them for almost two years!

Yes, it's an excellent card. No need for SLI.

My problem is I have a 5970 which technically beats the new cards bar the 590 and 6990. But of course these cards are seen as sli/crossfire (two chips) and therefore cod doesn't use them to their full potential :(.

Luckily for me the pseudo full screen disables one of the chips and I still get 40-50 fps on the isle of doom map but the channel map online I only get ~30. Hopefully they will work on crossfire more at somepoint.

S!

Agreed Krupi :) Better SLI/CrossFire support and other optimizations to the game and another 6970HD will enter my system :) 580GTX is a good card, had one before going AMD..just for the fun of it, mind you!

+1

Swapped my Core 2 Duo / GTX275 rig to the one in my sig, and since that CloD runs at high settings with no stuttering and at 50-120 fps with an average between 70-80 in a normal mission. I get around 50 fps on high settings while skimming the roofs in London or passing under Tower Bridge, but dogfighting Heinkels a couple of thousand feet above London gives me around 70 fps average. The minimal stuttering on some rare occasions feel like it's no more than in other games (sometimes with a large explosions etc).

And the old rig ran it rather OK too actually after all the patches at medium settings...

Wow 50fps above London on the settings I use is something I can only dream of. Atm I get around 15fps and stuttering.

P.s. All settings on high bar building detail.

And no, I did NOT crash trying to get lower than you at all, it was completely deliberate ;) We landed and took off the wings so they could get some shade under that tree on a hot day. OK?
