Luthier is this idea still going to go ahead, a lot of the animosity on this forum comes from a lack of transparency and so when you mentioned this a few weeks back I had high hopes but we have yet to hear from anyone...

Yeah, I wonder myself cuz it`s so easy. You just write a "I`m so sorry, you have a right to be mad for what pos we developed. You`re doing us such a favor by voicing your complaints" line. Copy & paste aaaaaaaaall the way.

On the whole I have good performance, I keep everything on max and it runs very smooth in a big dogfight over water, over land gets a little jittery, over london it becomes very jittery but I get better results turning some settings down in that case, in the very few online encounters I have played the performance seemed to improve.....
Yes I do like this sim and want to have it's babies like a true 'fanboi' whatever the xxxx that means, I just have faith it will get fixed.......so long as the negativity doesn't kill it, if that happens I will be pissed I payed money for a sim that some other whiney mother xxxxxx killed.

If new comers are turned off by post on this site by people they're never met nor have any skin in the game NOR have any affect on them whatsoever then they are weak and deserve all the drivel that happens in their lives.
People like that always have their sails up regardless of the direction the wind blows and always wonder why they end up in the predicaments they do. They are easily influenced and take total strangers for their word regardless of it being negative or positive as gospel. They fall for any phishing schemes they come into their inbox.
But capitalist cannot live without them for they are 80% of the inhabitants of this planet. They are so easily influenced that you can easily convince them that what is best for them at this moment is to reach into their pockets and pull out all their spare change or whatever they have in their pocket and hand it over to you.

i believe the only thing that matters regards many of the aspects mentioned simply boil down to Positive & Negative. Its necissary to remove emotion from just about everything which leaves positives and negatives. id say realisticly these are at a 50:50 ratio.
Given this climate it may not be prudent to put this "Character" the liason person in place. But after another succesfull patch (IMO they have all been succesfull) and with this US release we may have the ratio slanted in favour of the positives ! which is then time to encourage all what the Liason person is to do to further positiveness. It really would be an experiment in futility to attempt to Liase just now. especially with the key names that seem to pop up everywhere where negatives occur. Your names are synominous with negativity presently!. Think about it. we all want this to become positive. I dont want to be part of the negativity, so well ... theres nothing left but to try be positive.

Ok, Im a whiney mother xxxxxx (your words), but you got to be kidding me right, you really think that Luthier may walk away from this because of people moaning about how bad the release is/was? The one thing that has come out of all of this is that Luthier doesn't give a rats ass about any of our feelings, If he did the game would not of been released in this state in the first place, and one more thing, the majority of the mother xxxxxx here (your words) are whining about the complete lack of communication and lack of honesty, this is something that could be remedied immediately if Luthier really gave a xxxxxx. As for newcomers, well call me 'Mr Picky' but wouldn't they be reading the reviews in magazines first rather than try and seek info out on a forum, well let's just hope they don't eh, not one good review, at least on a forum they got people like you!!
The only way Luthier will walk away from this is if the game is unfixable, for every problem solved there's another one cropping up down the line, which seems to be where they are at this present time, they are running around putting out fires that they started. If they release this sim in its current state in the USA then that will be suicide for them and perhaps an indication that they are trousering the last bit of cash before they lock the office door. The only thing i do agree with you on Bongo is that hopefully this won't be the case, Luthier is very 'hard faced' us moaning about his poor product is not going to make him stop wanting to fill his pockets up.

My words yes, but you associated yourself with them.
Maybe you are right and the plug won't be pulled because of the whining exclusively, but I really cant help feeling that the negativity that gets thrown around will hurt sales....that in turn will result in less money for the dev team to get things sorted, remember the money you spent means you own the game not the people who created it, and those people still need to get paid....you see where I'm going with this ? just the way I feel about it, and I still stand by my sentiment.....I will be pissed if the money I spent doesn't turn into a working sim because of whiney......well you know.
it's not the first time a game has been released in a 'state', why this one has attracted such vilification for it I will never understand.

I was about to offer my vote to Raaid but now it is a tie between Raaid and Alpha :D
On a more serious note gentlemen, I seriously hope that I am wrong but I think 1C is running on a tight budget. I would expect that sales of CoD did not go as expected, Ubi did not launch it in the US and this a major impact, so probably some rationalization of the costs is in place. The community manager position would be the first to go, especialy if the person would not have been recruited yet.
Maybe it is frustrating on the communication part but at least they are working to fix things on it and that is good. I hope they keep it that way and that one day the game gets the success it deserves.
Anyway, it is all pure speculation so who cares... ;)

Luthier is very 'hard faced' us moaning about his poor product is not going to make him stop wanting to fill his pockets up.
For me is a shame, and strange, that Luthier doesn't take more time to talk to the community, but even more strange that when he decides to answer someone, it's you. Maybe because he didn't read all your posts, and you never dared to say things like this directly to him.
As far as I've read you, you have some good points, even in the post above (except for the ending); you've always requested to be told the truth, and you made a good question o Luthier in the last patch thread, when you asked for the multiplayer sound bug; and when he answered you the truth, you paid back increasing even more your criticism.
So, as a matter of fact, if Luthier is being silent for a reason, you are confirming he's choosing the right option.
Obviously, is not the truth what you want. What else, then? You'd like to see the team disbanding and the sim abandoned? Is that?
Filling his pockets... you must be joking!

You are almost correct; many of us just have pride and expect others to be the same. If you are going to do a mediocore or just passable job-don't bother. The expectations of CoD and the build up by 1C, Oleg and Luthier have left much to be desired. The way they would talk about this game you would expect it to be perfect and accurate to a fault. This isn't rocket science here, only programming and artistic ability. You cannot build a game with no time schedule and expect anything but the way things have turned out. If the game fails it has nothing to do with the sim community or Ubisoft...Oleg and Luthier will have to look in the mirror and blame themselves and get a real project manager to help them with their next projects:!:

CoD is solid under the hood, it's just the panels that need work. The DMs are just astounding and the CEM blows 1946 away, no-one can argue with that, surely. Just engage the community and give them something constructive to work towards - there are lots of clever people here who have a lot to offer (not me, obviously :-P) and I think this would neutralise many forum problems.

Some people take pride in their work too, I build computers for a living, if you were to buy one from me it would work straight out of the box, that's what you would expect. however if I sold you a PC and it didn't work and I offered you little to no explanation, other than to send you an email saying that hopefully it should be working within a few months and I then mostly ignored your calls and pleas, well you would be one upset bunny. The cost is irrelevant, it's the service and the honesty of the supplier /manufacturer that's important.

Honestly I would not ask much of a community manager if they gave us one. Simply saying "yes this is a known bug, it is getting fixed" in the bug threads throughout this forum would make alot of people happy. Luthier clearly does not have the time to actively visit the forums anymore.

Yes but that community manager will need to be on a payroll, and that diverts funds from paying decent 'non saboteur' programmers, and think of it this way, who is going to tell the community manager how things are going? if they have the time to explain it to them then they may as well explain it to us......?

Yes, it's a good point, bongodriver. That is exactly my experience with community managers on other forums - they just have to go away and ask for the answer by email which presumably takes the same time to type as it would on a forum page! Not sure of the usefulness to be honest, at least whilst the primary discussion topic is bugs which can be handled much more efficiently by a tracking system.

I don`t buy full PCs, I build them myself.
A PC is not a video game.
Before I buy anything I check as much info on it as I can and THEN I make my decision.
Sorry bud, the cost is relevant here. You must be quite a liar to dismiss a little factor of a difference - a good PC costs as much as 1000$, an AAA video game costs 60$. It is simple that I would get much more upset if I got a disfunctional pc for which I saved during 6 months instead of a game that I buy twice every months and dump it after 8-10 hours of gameplay.
I can see that you have a serious problem putting things into perspective.
