i just recognized, that the game runs much smoother when i play singleplayer mode.now with the ubi logo deleted, i have only minor stutters and good fps.
but today i played on rebka1 server, and i experienced pretty bad stutters, mainly when engaging an enemy.its pretty annoying when you spot a spit dive on him and then have a two second freeze.i lost my oponent out of vision not only once today.

but i wonder why that is the case?

Yeah, i understand lag/warping on other planes, but stutter?

I've been seeing a two to three second freeze online, also.

I've been watching the console/chatbar to see if it coincides with a particular in-game event but haven't seen any pattern.

Yes, I know these stutters or more mini freezes too.

But it almost seems this comes as a server problem.

Just a few minutes ago we tried to fly on our server and after some time these minifreezes came up and got worse by the time up to the point where we restarted the server. After the server restart the game ran smoothly again..

ok, an unhandled exception killed my game then ... but ... beta ...

(edit: server and clients ran with the beta 14762)

what you guys are describing is an old problem with the servers...it seems the memory leak is back :( after the servers have run for awhile they will start to lag out :(

Where is this Ubi logo that you guys are deleting?

krupi its in C:/program files/Steam/steamapps/common/il2-sturmovik cliffs of dover/parts/core/GUI You will see the ubisoft logo called 'logo' just delete it, Ive done this but in truth ive not noticed any difference, but others claim it works so its worth a shot. Hope that helps.

Tree, it's only useful if you are running an Ati GPU because the logo playing "confuses" the drivers and "locks" the GPU into low performance mode running at lower clock speeds.

You have an nVidia so you don't get this issue and that's why you don't see any performance difference.

You can still keep it disabled though to save time starting up the sim. Since it can't be skipped and it forces you to sit through an extra couple of seconds before the sim loads, renaming/deleting it will land you straight on the epilepsy warning screen which can be skipped by pressing Esc (maybe other keys too) twice ;)

lol, thanks for that blackdog, lucky i didn't say i had a performance increase by removing it otherwise I would looked like an even bigger chump!!

I thought the logo issue was fixed? I will delete it and see if i get more bang for my buck?
But I have MSI afterburner running in the background and according to its recordings of my gpu use my card is working at full clock the moment I am ingame...

One thing I always do is run black death for a few seconds before I go into any game just to load the map into cache.
