I am using Windows 7 32 bit. Would I see much of a visual performance increase if I installed the 64 bit version in its place? Has anyone compared the two? And now for my killer computer stats (if you had a time machine)....

Abit IP35 Pro
Intel core 2 extreme 6800
4 gig of genuine Corsair pc2-6400 memory
GEforce GTX 465

You aren't making use of all 4 gigs of memory with a 32 bit operating system. That's the main benefit of upgrading!

Visually I do not think you will see any improvement. The game might play smoother though.

You will gain between 500-750 megs of ram by going to 64 bit as your system stands now.

However going to 64 bit will allow you to use even more than 4 gig in the future if you want.Maybe even making a ram drive.

I as assuming your processor is 64 bit capable.

I was running Windows 7 32 bit and I could not run the game without it crashing. I upgraded to the 64 bit and run the game now with no issues at all. You have to have an operating system that will utilize all of your ram. I would say yes if you have additional ram that can be used.

No, not at all. I upgraded from Win 7 32-bit to 64-bit two months ago. The game ran identically on the 64-bit version in my case.

But upgrading to 64-bit as already mentioned will give you much more headroom for adding more ram in the future. That's really the main reason many people have switched to 64-bit, including myself.
