Gentlemen!
After the latest patch I still have the shadows being the worst frame killers in my comp! Turning them totally off kills a lot of reality and feeling of flying in the sim. So I renew my request for the following video on/off options for shadows:
1. cockpit shadows
2. shadows of clouds
3. shadows of trees
4. shadows of buildings
5. shadows of planes, vehicles etc.
This makes it possible for every pilot to enable those shadows that best suit his own taste and equipment without losing too much framerate.
Otherwise, let's be careful up there!:-P

yes... although the video options page in the GUI may need a second page soon :P

No need to more space in options menu, if just use a pulldown menu like DCS series. I create a post about that just few days ago, but nobody talk about.
I agree: it's really important.

+several.
I love the cockpit shadows, and aircraft shows on the ground/sea are good but at the moment shadows take away too many fps and introduce stutters for me when looking around 9especially over land) Having a selectable choice would help.

Shadows cause an approx 30% fps loss for me.

And I discover today that the crap AA in Clod after new patch eats a lot of FPS in my rig too. Strange! Without shadow and AA, the sim is runnig really nice now. Just a little more tweaks and will be good regards performance in middle-end machines. Good job in patching, really hard work to do but things are going nice. :)

+1.....I probably get more like 40% loss. It's such a shame because the shadows look so nice and add a lot of realism to the game world.

+1 Also loose alot to shadows and AA but also to Land shading.
My problem is that native res is 2560 x 1440 and if I lower that to 1920 it looks like crap (all fuzzy and smeared).
I love the crispness of 2560 and Land shading but together I can't fly too crowded scenes.
But Luthier "promised" to double the frames for quad and up after they optimized and loadbalanced.
I hope that's true.

AA is a waste of resources right now and barely does anything so definitely leave it off.
I asked long ago for separate shadows options mostly to turn off the annoying and immersion killing tree shadow flickers and gain some fps.

Agreed the tree shadows are funny, it almost appears that there is trembling little critter hiding by each tree. If this can be well implemented then great otherwise dump it, the cockpit lighting and shadows are awesome we do need those.
