Just tested, works much better than game own VSync because it supports Triple Buffering.

Try it and see with fraps your starting FPS at crosscountry airfield.

Remember turn off game own vsync when using D3Doverrider.

I switch triple buffering via creating an ATI Tray Tools game(not D3D) profile for Launcher. Vsynk switched on in game only and 'default off' in ATT. Works for me: 35-45 fps with no tearing.
