Sure COD has issues but try this. Go create a free flight in the Tigermoth , fly along the coastline or just the countryside. Do not go as player and just ride along as a passanger. It's like a joy flight , such nice looking detail that you don't really look at when flying yourself. I spent about an hour just being a passanger last night and looking from the cockpit - really cool. Especially at a sunrise flight.

Hah, ironic name then right? :p

I know what you mean machoo, the game is a looker if you try out various settings :)

I've noticed that every single person who says the environment in CoD looks good invariably recommends turning the lights down.

It's just more interesting :) Until CloD gets some better atmospheric effects (fog/overcast/haze) we won't see a less saturized/pale environment. On a mid summer sunny day around noon everything is puke green, even in real life :)

Yeah, a friend of mine is a pro photographer and he says that no photographer will choose noon or early afternoon to take pictures unless required. His favorite time is "the blue hour". He's an architectural photographer. No atmosphere at noon, too stark.
