Go to USER CP Scroll down left column to EDIT SIGNATURE. Fill out the Sig with all the hardware and OS/Driver info you have.. save.. exit And then with every post if will list your hardware so the devs and everyone else can spot patterns or give you tips from lessons they already learned.

Also if you use commas or some other manner of divider like a dash, you can have everything set up on one line, horizontally so you don't make people scroll through everything.

Also don't bother telling us what kind of PC Case or Power supply or HD or CPU fan you have. That's just stupid.

That should be a "must" for everyone who's reporting problems, tips, tweaks.

Rubbish - definitely include power supply. Inadequate PSU is at the bottom of many problems. Agree with the case comment though!

I agree on the pc case part, but disagree on last bits. What type of HD you have tells how fast you can load textures etc. CPU fan itself is useless info, but if you have OC´d your computer and used a cooler that it is not good enought you might run in to quite weird problems when the temperatures rise. It is usefull info to know that the problems are not computer related but the game itself.

I am lucky I know how to download a game and start it up.....:o

I have been thinking about this for days! >Specs in signature, useful for developers, easy for users who don't have to retype their specs every time they post tests.

Something brief like

CPU q9550 - ram4gb - gtx260 - SSD - win7/64bit

And maybe the same quick formula for our settings, like say

1440x900 - noAA - no grass - buldgs med - textr med

etc etc; this should stuff lots of useful infos in any signature

But I was sure the idea was old, so I didn't bother to open a thread.

Actually it was my PSU causing the crashing/rebooting problems due to too little amperage on the 12V rail for my GPU, so it can be useful info for a game like CloD that pushes GPUs very hard.

It would be great to here from the developers.

I can’t recall reading any posts where the developers have talked to a forum member about personal system specs.

The problem with COD is with the design and development of the game itself, our system specs are the least of there concerns at this point.

true Tail but it does help us to help each other if we can see each others specs :)
