It's a skydiving game... terrain looks nice.

EDIT: I added this from the Gaijin Forum

Ever since the dawn of time, man has been wishingly looking up into the sky hoping that we one day might be able to fly.

You are standing on a mountain ledge. The valleys of the Italian Alps stretch out below you, lush with glistening waterfalls, winding streams, and groves of proud pine trees. It all seems tiny from up here.

You jump...

You’re flying through the air, gaining speed. Arms by your sides, you fly along the ridge, the mountain’s wall coming dangerously close to your body. By moving your arms just a little, you’re able to clear the rock wall. But suddenly a huge rock is right in front of you, closing in fast! You raise your arm up and turn right, narrowly avoiding it by just a few feet.

A few seconds later, your heart starts beating again. You didn’t realize you were holding your breath.

Skydive: Proximity Flight is a unique wingsuit flying sim that puts you inside the suit for an amazing — and totally safe — extreme skydiving experience. With actual wingsuit flying, the suit restricts your motion, and the terrain can threaten your safety. In Skydive, your movements are completely unrestricted. Use the motion controller to speed up, maneuver, and soar through the air. Learn mid-air tricks that only professional skydivers can do, or make up your own tricks alone or with friends. Lose yourself in this exciting airborne adventure with realistic graphics, precise sounds, and stunning aerial landscapes. Best of all: enjoy the intense adrenaline rush of wingsuit flying without putting yourself in any real danger!

Some Features:

•Enjoy total freedom during flight — it’s the closest you can come to flying like a bird;

•See beautiful, real - world locations from a brand new vantage point. Realistic graphics, precise sound, and a total new skydiving experience make you feel like you’re really flying!

•Cope with unpredictable weather conditions that can impact your flight;

•Try real aerial tricks or invent your own;

•Different suits, characters and locations to enhance your Skydive experience;

•Choose from different game options including free flight, challenges, and multiplayer modes.

Impressive!...but i think they are pressing their luck buzzing that stone wall that close. think it will make a cool game...

It might be cool, but I kinda wonder if it will be much different from any other flight game. Sky diving is a very visceral, wind in yer face sort of experience that may not lend itself to a video game. Still gotta hand it to Gaijen for even trying it, somebody over there has imagination :-P I look forward to the demo.

what an incredible waste of development resources.

On what planet would this game sell more than 30 copies?

I'm with Guilty - this seems to be directed at a very small portion of the market. Not to sure this is going to be a money maker.

It does seem a bit marketless.. If they can introduce a competetive vs element that works then it might have a chance.

I'm more interested at how fast they've got the terrain to move. Good sense of speed + BoP2 = good

yeah I can't picture myself playing this game, but I'm totally impressed with the engine. I had trouble at first picking out the game footage from the real footage.

I'd love to blast through that landscape in a P-38. MAKE IT HAPPEN

This game is a risk its essentially a new market it could sell well because of that or it could be a complete disaster.

Not necessarily a new market. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQonAY1kGjM

Like said before the engine looks incredible but don't see it doing to well.

Get a fan and turn it on while playing this game.:-P

While the intial sound of it didn't interest me at all, the visuals look great. Also, the speed of the gameplay, hopefully, suggests the new Dagor engine update will make B'n'Z more deadly in the sequel.

seriously its games like these that completely bankrupt companies

Not necessarily. If this game is based on an existing game engine it could be a side project handled by a small portion of the dev team. If it is simple in concept and execution, maybe it will be an inexpensive title that won't need to sell many copies to be profitable.

It's games like these that can be the quick cash cow that keep a company in the black.

Obviously we are both making assumptions based on limited information, but not every game requires multi-millions to develop.

the demo will be interesting to play. i dont know how it will hold a players interest for very long though. yeah you can fly different landscapes and maybe do a slalom, or race in MP ( if there is one). but if we were playing ... we would end up trying to knock each other out of the air rather than follow the rules of the game.... :grin:

People seam to be misunderstanding this.
From what I have seen this isnt skydiving its base jumping with wing suits. alows the feeling of flight but not the feeling something else is holding you up there like a hang glider.

Wow, didn't expect this game to come out of Gaijin, but it looks interesting nonetheless.

I'm wondering about the camera control options, looks like so far only the angle which puts you at the jumper's foot looking up has been revealed so far. Would a first person view work in this kind of game?

Could do well on an iPad2.

I know this is off topic but I can't help it :)

I really hope when we get this sequel to BOP it is handled better than the first one. I'm not sure but if anyone has another game by gaijin could you clarify if you could buy DLC after the release more than once?

The way it seems to me concerning DLC and patches it looks like after they make a game they are either forced or start working on another project right after a game is released or they just choose to.

Look at Apache, there hasn't been any news on DLC (with the exception that consoles aren't getting any), and the next thing we hear about is this human flight game. I wished they were able to focus on one game and keep adding to it like a lot of other devs out there.

If they could just work on one or two games that would be great. Sadly it's not what everyone likes to play.

I'm not saying anything bad about this game because I have yet to play it or read a review. To me it looks very well made but should probably be a download title on PSN or XBL. If it's not I don't see it being priced over $40.00 and probably hitting the bargain bin pretty quickly.

Sorry for the rant just wanted to get that off my chest. Seems like they just haven't met the right major publisher yet.

Dont know if anyone noticed but there was a short clip of this game during Sony's E3 opening.

I think that this game would do good with the regular controller and not the motion controller.

I think you could and would have better precision with the hand held controller.

Hmm you might be right about precision, but I can see this being way more FUN with Kinect or PSMove.

I think this game has to make motion control a big selling point. Think of the people who have already bought these control systems and are looking for something new, there isn't many games out there yet so very little competition.

The fact is this is a tiny niche game if only for regular controlers. With Kinect and Move, this game could become the next "must have" title in that genre and bring in the big moneys.
