I know nothing on C# besides copy-and-paste to Microsoft Visual C# 2010 Express. Please feel free to use and modify the scripts.

Thanks for the server, tried it yesterday but had major issues.

Choose red, and every time i spawned my plane would blow up or get turned upside-down. Tried 5 or 6 times, using different spawn points and different planes. I gave up in the end and left the server.

Thank you for your feedback. We probably have to move spawnpoints back to hangars as planes explode if start at runway. Also we will try moving spownpoints to better airfields (which do not have hangars) in future.

This is the map issue which we can not edit and the Devs are working on it.

Do not give up. If I explode I hit create again immediately and spawn at a good location the 2nd time. Try a new version tonight please.

Didn't want to give up.. but after 6 times in a row i'd had enough.. but it won't put me off trying again. It does need fixing though.. i'm sure it will frustrate other too.

Today I had to create a new plane about 10 times in a row, changing airfields sometimes... But it was worth it.

Ataros what settings you running your card at, I do not see the ATI blue lines on your screenshots?
Unless it is only the HD 6970's that have the problem?

Yes, as far as I know only 6970 and maybe 6950. I never had any lines with any settings

Ppl say 8x AA or aniso set in drivers may help you.

New maps are put up on both Repka servers.

Repka DS #1 - France map with 5 small missions loading into the main mission creating a living airwar environment with various objectives. (uses this script http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showpost.php?p=279416&postcount=95 )

Repka DS #2 - completely reworked carriers map for good old IL-2 dogfight.

Feedback is appreciated.

ATM players experience long mission loading time on Repka #1 because landed aircraft are not removed quickly enough by the script we are running and number of objects in the mission increases every hour.

While we are working on the issue please be patient when mission loads. It may take 2-3 minutes atm. The server will be restarted at 16.00 GMT, you are welcome to join it later tonight when you can.

i like the server and i play on it but i experience alot of netlagg (warping) from other planes they jump around alot so shooting something down is very hard my Ping is good always under 60ms
and its the only server i get it on.
its a shame as i love the maps it play

Ping and netlag are different things. I have seen some aircraft lagging today but not all at the same time. There could be a problem however due to too many objects on the server at the same time. We had to reduce number of aircrafts in missions by about 30-40% and increased time between missions to reduce load both on network and processing power.

The new version is up already. Please try it. Your feedback is very much appreciated.

Looks like we have found a temporary solution to performance issues in our mission. Repka #1 server will be restarted within 15 minutes with a new version.

You are welcome to join and have some fun tonight. If performance drops we would restart it in 2-3 hours again. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Removed map-icons for better immersion. We have to leave externals on for troubleshooting purposes for testing period and to let novice pilots to get accustomed to the map a bit. I have seen some pilots having difficult time trying to find directions. We all started there. Sorry for any inconvenience ext.views may cause.

We set the server to restart every 4 hours to avoid lag. Please get back after restart quickly as restart takes only 1-2 minutes unless we manually update mission files. Then it can take 3-4 minutes.

Thanks for flying! There were 20-30 people on the server yesterday night before we got a repeating server error. Sorry, I was not there to restart it at that time.

Please note: a mission can take 1-2 minutes to load. Be patient please. It is worth it ))

Hi Ataros,

two of us tried to use the server last night but there is still persistent blowing up when spawning. We had to give up in the end :(

It seems to be either an altitude thing (the a/c lurches around before blowing up) or the fact that these are usually in small shed-shaped brick buildings, not like hangars, and may just be bouncing off the walls when they try to spawn with a wing poking through the wall.

I'd like to know if you have found a way of fixing specific spawn points for a/c or if you are only using Spawn Areas. With Spawn Areas in my missions we have no problem spawning except when we spawn in one of those small curved-roof hangars (there are some at Hawkinge) where the door openings are too small to get through (!) so we just create another a/c but at least they don't blow up. When I set actual Aircaft on the runway for takeoff (with waypoints) all the aircraft spawn in exactly the same place off the runway and if we don't taxi off the spawn point the next spawn blows us up so its a slow process getting a few guys off, especially with the engine warm up periods. If you know any ways round this I'd appreciate it.

Could you please report names of airfields with screenshots of troubled hungars. I'll pass them on to developers. Big hangars were fixed in the last beta based on our reports.

I noticed this issue only at Kokel airfield for Bf-109 and Markiz airfield for Blenheims and Baufighters when spawn at caponiers in my mission.

I will fix Kokel tomorrow by placing a new airfield object on top of the old airfield and moving spawnpoint closer to the center of new airfield. If you do not place a runway aircraft spawn on internal airfield radius. When runway is placed they spawn at external radius if no "airfield points" are placed. Airfield points are bagged as far as I understand, I usually do not use them. Adjust external and internal radius of new airfields to prevent the circles from crossing hangars, buildings or rough terrain.

Sorry, we left Repka #2 that way for developers to check what is going wrong with it as logs can not show all the problems. This morning we noticed some devs visiting the server. Repka#2 is used for testing of new features and hunting bugs. Sorry for any inconvenience it may cause. I think this will allow to have a better MP in the future.

Please join Repka #1 which is our primary server, however it also has issues sometimes of cause.

We are aiming to switch off ext.views soon. As many people do not fly on the server but just watching an airwar movie :grin: If you like airwar movies do not miss the possibility as it will be gone soon :grin:

Tanks capture airfields and move the frontline! So please check the frontline position before spawning or you can be killed by an enemy tank on spawn.

Had a wierd experience last night, logged in and was 1 of only 3 on the server.. spawned a Spitfire at an RAF field nearest the coast and the battle line.. lots of flak going on at the time.. when I first spawned in the fps was going from 2 to 62 did that for about 20 seconds then I exited and created a new plane...same field.. spawned and it worked fine..smooth and no stutters.. don't know if it was communication related or graphics..

Probably the 1st time all the scenery was loading into vram from your harddrive. It takes some time. It is useful to switch to external views and then to several planes to have most of resources loaded into ram and vram before takeoff.

2 fps probably mean harddrive excess. Do you defrag your game files after each patch? I use gamebooster to do this. Works better than steam defrag for me.

Nice server with plenty of AI to shoot at if theres not so many players in the server. However, its on a 24 hour cycle and its pointless to play when it gets dark...

It's pretty easy and probably the easiest to get started. The only tricky part is managing your prop pitch to get the most speed out of it.

Taking off is a bit of a challenge too. Sometimes you blow your tires before you get off the ground. You gotta yank her up before she wants to fly and just hope she stays up for you.

Also not having a AI tailgunner kinda sucks right now, although it's been my experience that the AI TG ain't worth a dang. So I just fly with the rear gun empty now and hope that I get a slight performance boost from it.

Yesterday we had up to 30 people online at some times. I guess the key to enjoyment is number of players (or targets :grin: ) flying around.

Unfortunately Steam looses connection with server for 30-60 seconds sometimes resulting in disconnecting players but usually it comes back very soon. So if you are disconnected from the server please try connecting again in a minute or two.

Official server restart time is 16.00 GMT / 19.00 MSK when it is not available for 5 minutes.

One thing i'm loving is the scale and the activeness of the server i.e the AI flights etc i had a lot of fun just running a patrol route from point A to point B and seeing what i came across majority of the time it was AI but it kept me interested and looking around to see what was coming when i did decide to dip into a bit of low level blasting around the 109 base at D3, it was very exciting always had to keep an eye out as what seemed like a small skirmish between 2 spits and a 109 to begin with could very quickly turn into a massive furball as more and more aircraft joined in that didn't spot entered the fight.

Only Downside i had was due to known issues currently i.e sound and the odd lag jitter but nothing that lasted long enough to be considered as anything more than a hiccup.

Repka #2 now runs a tank battle mission as a test. Tanks fight for a neutral airfield at E3.

Repka #3 now runs an Online Dynamic Campaign by stillborn

Campaign contains 14 static missions chained from red airfield to blue. 6 of them are ground based, 8 of them are naval. campaigh starts by spawning tankers moving towards enemy airfield, if they encounter each other they spawn AA guns over them and start to fight until one side is killed and the next mission towards the defeated side is loaded, if one of the ships is destroyed before encountering enemy the other ship continues to progress. When the ships reach the coast, they disembark and continue as AA trucks, when the trucks reach enemy airfield, spawn points change and players can spawn enemy's aircrafts from captured airfield. if the aa trucks are destroyed, spawn points restore and campaign reverts 3 missions.

Scripts contain a code for destroying aircrafts on player leave, crashland or land with a timeout, also the code does not trigger if the player is still inside or another player entered this aircraft in the meantime. Also airborne left aircrafts are not destroyed but damaged. Player checks contain the server too so you can use it with steam lobby.

I have created new airfields for spawning parked in front of the runway, only two aircrafts spawn in front of the runway, if these points are full the other aircrafts spawn in a tight circle next to them.

FMB has a limit for min airfield radius which also defines the spawning locations for extra aircrafts when all points are full, i overrided it in notepad, if you edit the airfields in main mission dont forget to change these.

There's also a single player version of main mission for testing at 16x, ground war is totally random but you can interact with it with unlimited ammo to preview all the missions quickly.

Server briefing page does not refresh the spawn points after you select army, so if a base capture occurs change your army twice to see the updated spawn points on map to use enemy's airfield.

I've made this campaign to share my approach for dynamic mission loading, feel free to copy/manipulate it, with the same logic and a more tidy-flexible code, multiple dynamic frontlines can be created.

Good choice mate cuz its a decent server that you can just join and get quick into some action..and now you dont have to worry about some Numbnut straffing AF's so his score looks pretty

Spent a couple of hours at your REPKA server, I am sorry I can't recall which of the three it was (was full real, blue and red in France), it was the one with most players online at that moment.

I do not know whether it was thanks to my new Ramdrive setup but it was a great server, no lag, no problems (constant fps > 55) flying non stop for so much time.

Maybe it should have some more Blue bombers attacking?
I saw at least six groups of two Wellington each, attacking whereas I think only one JU-88 group of two and one group of four JU-87 went out (I can be wrong of course).

What I found very annoying is that I could not correctly assess the dots' distance, I saw somebody posted it today as a bug in the forum - very annoying.

Excellent server, I am looking forward to see how it goes when 40-60 pilots are online!

All the Repka servers seem to have crashed :(
Managed to connect to Repka 1 but couldn't create a plane after choosing my base, bit later it timed out and all 3 repka servers are gone.

Thanks. That was a Steam disconnect. In some cases it requires manual restart and than servers could be down for several hours. Now all 3 are up again.

Bomber groups are of cause balanced in terms of bomber quantities per side. Script selects sub-missions randomly and this is why you may see several red missions in a row sometimes but then several blue missions. Also if you fly mostly for one side you will usually meet bombers of the opposing side.

Please check out Repka #4 server tonight. It is our test server we put up from time to time.

It runs a script form a member of the dev team where tanks move frontline and airfields change their side accordingly.

To finetune the mission I need your feedback on the following:
- ground battle intensity: should in be reduced or increased
- what you like about the mission
- what can be added to make things better

AI aircraft temporally switched off to test ground war exclusively.

Probably you can not take off from a captured airfield till next patch anyway due to a game bug.

Its nice the REPKA server, I always enter there because I have a good ping there and there's a lot of people, but I would disable the external views and the automatic pilot.

Repka #1 has externals and autopilot off.

Why do you think autopilot should be off? I think AI can not fly as good as humans anyway?

Autopilot will be off after next restart on #3 too.

A friend of mine told me that Autopilot helps you when you have a stall, for example. I havent tested it yet

So it would not be that god to ask for changes on things you have not tried yourself, right? ;)


Just on the autopilot thing, since I also have not tried it myself either, what does it do (or not do)?



Regarding external views, I like external views, they allow the magic of this game to come to realisation!
On the other side however, the "external view nearast enemy" gives an unfair advantage during dogfight.
IMHO "external view" is good, "enemy/friendly rotating view" (CTRL/SHIFT-F2) is good, "external view nearest enemy" is less good.

There was never a stall I did not get out from with my own skill (unless I was in a flat spin P-39 or P-38 :( ) Anyway, autopilot is not my cup, not my problem...

I don't know and it is rather disheartening. I fly pretty much Repka#1 exclusively. I think the map size is perfect for now with the limited people playing the game online at the moment.

Please keep the France map around and continue future development with it.

Thanks for comments. I know of this game bug but the plane looks so cool I do not what to get rid of it. On the other hand it would be absolutely helpless vs. 109 or 110 if it could not create a slideshow sometimes :grin:

I tried your server the other day and found it nice. IMHO at full realism the France map is too short with most airfield only 1 min of each other.

the island map has one additional advantage, it is easy to navigate around without looking at the map.

ehem, but if I remember well, I was on a French map but the externals were on... :)

Anyway, there is too much eye candy and it would be a shame to lose all that be flying full real :(

Think it's because Repka 1 is in direct competition with Syndicate full real while repka 3 doesn't seem to have competition with its full CEM; 3rd person ; small map.
Please do keep working on the France map though, there's alot less vulching and perching when people have to do a little navigation and fly for more than 1 minute to the enemies base. The large map has alot more feel to it aswell.

If I could request one thing though it would be adding some targets for the jabo guys on Repka 1, right now there are only ships (which are bugged :/) and flak around the bases to bomb/strafe(either that or i fail to spot the other targets). Would be fun if there were some truck convoys, artillery/tank lines to attack and if possible some static aircraft to add some life to some airbases.

because i have 60FPS on small maps with all (very low) except plane model,visual effect and damage decal (on high) , on big map i have 20max in free flight and in fight its go to 1FPS :(
all below 60FPS for simulation is VERY BAD :)
not all have money for new computers only for CoD :(
for now i need only small map for 1vs1 practice to be know with aircraft and engine management and noting more :) for this kind of flight for now is EXCELLENT :) maybe next year SEOW will be on CoD (but just maybe).
next year if CoD replace old IL2 i will buy better computer :)

p.s. why SVAO duel server for CoD dont work ?
pls make me one 1vs1 small map :)

I am pretty certain that the human eye cannot distinguish the difference of anything above 30fps or thereabout?

Using a three year old laptop, listed below, and settings at 1680x1050/forest off/building amount low/land shading low/grass off/shadows off/roads on/everything else medium. In my nvidia console I have 2xAA 4xAF force vsync set to override application. I get average 33-36fps with high of 60(73 with vsync off) and low of 5 on black death.

You can take an existing online mission that came with the game and modify it in fmb according to your needs, move "birthplaces" closer for instance. It is easy and it's great when you learn something new ;)

I'm really enjoying the server, but I had a really odd ping problem last night.
The Steam server ping was about ~70ms, but on entering the server properly my ping went up to 370ms. I tried the SYN server with no such effect. No AV or update was running. I pinged and tracerouted your ISP without problems with sensible 70ms results.
The effect was repeatable in game.
Any ideas?

When Steam disconnects everyone experiences lag. Maybe ping is a part of this issue. Try reconnecting in 3-5 minutes when Steam is back.

I am not the server owner and can not tell if there were any issues server side. But in this case we would have more feedback on this here I think.

First of all congrats for the Repka DS #1 server. :cool:

I am having in every (long) sorties disconnects (timeouts), I generally take off with 100% fuel.

Is there any hint/tip that can make me reduce or eliminate the discos? It is very frustrating to be in the air for more than 40 minutes and end up with a disco all the time. :(

The timeouts sometimes occur in the first 10/20 minutes of flight too, but they are more frequent in the long run.

But I also have the same problem as jg27_mc on Repka 1 server.
On Repka 3 or SVAO no problems exept sound.

I supose there is something to do with scripts.

To confirm that I tried 1 evening on SYN server and I had discos,
and evening after that no disco at all ????

I don't think that I have hardware problems because offline
I had few crashes offline in months.

Do you mean Teamspeak server? There is no other comms on Repka than Teamspeak. I think you can create a separate room for English speaking players there. Let me know if you want to have a permanent channel I will pass info to server owner.

I think you'll know I posted this elsewhere but I was wondering....


I have run my Game as a server, i.e. I start it normally and select Multiplayer... Server....Load a mission... etc and I do NOT start it with the -server in the command line. No-one playing on my 'server' has had the sound problem and my game has not crashed. True, I have only had about 10 people on it up to now, for 2+ hours, with good reports from the players and it's ony live when I choose to do it for my squad mates and any guests that decide to jump in.

Is it possible for you to try running your server like that for now until the 'server' bug is fixed? Would that help the sound and crash problem?

Hi klem!

In the past I used to test my mission this way for 3-4 hours from my home PC and got Steam disconnects in the long run after 22-23.00GMT
I do not think this is a solution.

BigRepa runs the servers on remote location fully automated with scripts now I think. There is no one who can click buttons there.

However if you manage to run your server without disco for 48+ hours please let me know. I will pass the info to BigRepa.

Could you please use Direct Connect when connecting to Repka servers. There is a chance this may help with timeouts and disconnects.

Please let me know if you experience less disconnects when direct-connected. I will pass this info to BigRepa for further testing.

Another important thing. Please do not use custom skins online. They create stutters and can not be switched off server side yet. This especially relates to those who use 5MB+ .bmp skins.

I´d say, don´t trust the showed latency in the serverbrowser, wolverine. It showed a ping of 350 and more, ingame it was a steady 140 oO .

I just took a 109 for a quick spin (first time "full" realism) and i enjoyed the performance of your server. I experienced far less lags than in cs1.6 (server location germany) than on yours.

i think you´ll see me more often from now on.

I've been enjoying playing on the Repka dynamic mission servers on the smaller maps (bombing ships in the Stuka makes for a great change of pace, and the ground/sea battles give everyone a place to congregate for great big furballs) but there's a couple things I'd like to request you change:

First and foremost, it's presently impossible to multi-crew aircraft with friends; I recently wanted to attempt having human-crewed pilot and bomber positions in a Ju-88 with a friend, and was disappointed to discover that this has been disabled. The level bombers are quite hard to use effectively without a full crew, but quite important to actually participating in the ground/sea battles, especially as the allies have no dive bombers. As such, I think having this ability would improve the gameplay for all.

Second, it's currently possible to external-view spectate enemy aircraft, allowing them to be found fairly easily. Judging by the lack of map icons, I assume that this is not something you want.

Thanks for hosting such enjoyable servers! I hope you'll consider correcting these issues to improve what's already a great place to fly.

Could you tell me how multi-crew option can be switched on. I think it is on, however I do not fly multi-crew aircraft and know nothing about it. I think I saw yesterday 2 players listed in the same Bf-110 in a score window.

We have more relaxed difficulty settings on R3 to make life a bit easier to newcomers especially when only 3-5 people fly on the server. For 'full-realism' settings please join Repka #1 server.

On R3 we have external views and friendly icons on. The rest is same as R1.
Anthropomorphic control is off as usual.
CEM is on as this is an essence of this game.

I'm not sure how to configure the server the way I describe, unfortunately, and it's indeed quite possible that I messed up and it's already working. My understanding of how to multicrew a plane is that you have to select it instead of an airfield in the spawn menu, and can then select a crew position and spawn into it; when I tried this, I didn't see my friend's Ju-88 on the airfield. Is there another way to do this? Does what I described work for other people, and I just messed up or hit a rare bug?

I understand and appreciate that R3 isn't hardcore full-realism; that's one of the main reasons I play it. It just seems odd that you can spectate enemy aircraft and thereby get a good idea of where they are, as this somewhat counteracts map icons being turned off. I don't really mind much either way, personally, so if that's intentional for whatever reason then great. (edit: I also notice you mentioned that friendly icons are on; is this a recent change? I didn't see any yesterday.)

I'll be sure to let the mission author know my appreciation of his efforts.

I think they are running multiple servers and one of them is used for testing out missions internally before going public with them, that's the one that's password protected. The others can be joined by anyone.

We experienced some errors with new mission on R2 as discussed in the FMB section. Admin was testing some solutions on locked server. Server will be available for everyone soon hopefully.

I worked out how to multicrew with map icons disabled: spectate the plane with shift-F2, then hit your "take over AI plane" keybind (mine is alt-F1, I forget if that's the default). You'll be dropped into the first open seat.

As far as I know aircrafts are still clickable on the map even if icons are off and aircraft is not visible on map. E.g. you spawn a plane and taxi it to some noticeable location like a NE runway corner. Then you tell your friend to click on this runway corner to get into your plane.

I have a request. I asked in the SYN server thread as well but maybe you could also help me out? Now that I think of it this could've been worth a thread (or maybe an old one exists).

Could you give some information regarding traffic for hosting? E.g. average traffic per month / user connected that is required? How many gigs or terabytes of traffic do you see over a month e.g.?

Also some estimations regarding CPU and RAM consumption would be nice.

As mentioned in the other thread I'm thinking of hosting for CloD so the numbers would interest me.

I am not the server owner just help with missions a bit and being a communications guy :)

As far as I know R1 runs Quad @2.5 and 4 or 8 GB RAM. 4 should be enough as server do not use much RAM. I would recommend a processor with higher clocks, the more you can afford the better because the game sometimes has problems when the 1st core is 100% utilized.
Do not know about traffic. BigRepa told once it is not as bad as reported back in March by some server owners.
R2 and R3 run on virtual PCs.

We are doing some experiments and changing it often.
For tonight we hove E4 but no Spit2 on R1 (Channel map) and both E4 and Spit2 on R2 (island map). Some bomber versions of 109 and 110 could be also locked. Do not remember now as I am not the mission maker of the current missions.

R2 was not balanced till Spit2 was introduced yesterday: 70% of players played 109-E4. With Spit2 numbers were more or less even.

Maybe we limit numbers of Spit2 in future if we find a good C# programmer. For now it is better to fly in a wing or squad.

Testing a new Operation Sea Lion mission by Small_Bee on R1.

German ships carry a landing party which will advance to British airfields and capture them. British organize a counter-offensive and can also capture German airfields if successful.

The mission features limited bonus planes i.e. Spit2s and E4s. Their spawnpoints located next to spawnpoints with all other aircraft (may need to zoom the map to click them - being tested now).

If you loose a bonus plane it will be available again in several minutes only.

To increase number of available bonus planes help your ground and sea units to capture enemy airfields. Number of available bonus planes depends on number of airfields you possess.


The Axis Briefing
Our offensive codenamed 'Operation Sea Lion' has begun. Ground forces are now en-route to England to capture and secure strategic areas. If our ground forces succeed, this should force the Allies to surrender.

The role of the Luftwaffe is to protect and assist our ground forces. This includes ground forces that are en-route, those protecting strategic coastal locations (if under attack) and ground forces that have successfully landed in England. Do your best to help our ground forces take and secure enemy ground whilst protecting our own.

There are some interesting features in that mission. I cautiously left the Hangar at Hawking with all hell breaking loose thinking that there were BFs about. I noticed lots of ground fire and then got hit by the invading German Ground forces on the Folkstone beach as I crossed it. Its a pity there wern't more players. I suffered a 'Time Out' disconnect but will try it again!

I had another quick session (only player). The axis ground forces were moving from the beach head. I mistook allied ground units for axis but there was no message to say 'Player XXXXX destroyed friendly.......'.

When I realised my mistake and headed towards the Axis ground units they killed me virtually straight away...(they are pretty awesome!).

Does the player get awarded kills for enemy ground units destroyed (I couldn't get close enough to find out being the only target :grin:) ?

I will have a better idea of how the mission works regards Radar messages and enemy AI when I have another session later with more players.

This mission certainly poses some tactical thinking regards dealing with enemy ground forces advancing on strategic airfields given the likelyhood of attack from enemy fighters above you. The Flak around Hawking was enemy not friendly so you have no idea what is above - only what is below.

Looking forward to another crack at this one and for anyone else.....take care when lifting off at one of the inland bases, there is a railway line on the airfield perimeter just waiting to rip your undercarraige off!

Server statistics will be implemented later.

Check a map often to see where a frontline is at the moment. Axis tanks have very good AAA cover. It is very hard to take them out when flying alone.

Couple issues, bugs or user errors to be determined.

1.) Last couple of days Calais has shown occupied by red, idicated by frontline pushed to the south of Calais, I have yet to find a singe red unit or ship in the area. I have found a column of friendly vehicles E of Calais on the coast. That is all.

2.) On several occasions I have seleceted a 110C7, equipped my usual assortment of fuel and bombs, click ok and when it is time to hit create it doesnt let me. I have to go through the whole process of choosing airfield(the same one) and sorting out my loadout(saved from previous attempt just double checking) then hitting ok and create. But then I usually wont have any bombs equiped even though I looked and checked on them at the loadout screen. Has happend 2 out of 3 times I have flown the 110C7 from Caffiers. I like to think of myself as an experienced 110 driver. So mistakes should me minimal in armament loadout.

3.) My ping is usually around 160'ish. Last two time I've flown I've been disconnected from server. Is my ping too high and I am getting autockicked? My connection is rocksteady as in I can immediately connect to the internet and join the server again right away so no drops in connection on my end. I can look at my modem and see if it loses sync or connect and neither is the case.

I thoroughly enjoy your server and really think you are onto something with this dynamic online battle. However, if I spend all my time circling an empty Calais looking for enemy ground units that apparently do not exist or go to intercept a bomber only to get kicked off the server due to unknown connection errors, it will make me less than enthusiastic to join the server in the future.

Loaded it to the server. Will be online after the next server restart. It may not fit the screen 100% as there is no vertical scrollbar yet but a briefing space can be extended horizontally. Let's hope for the fix with the official patch (issue have been reported to the devs).

Anyone eager to help with the Axis side briefing? Now you sure envy your opposition :)

BTW. I found a way to make multi-language briefings in similar way to the off-line briefings naming convention. Therefore if someone provides the same text in German or French or Italian or Bambara, we can have it included.

Found an error, the Bf-110 C-7 E of Calais spawns with no bombs, even though bombs are available in the loadout. Could some E-3B's be added to the map, this map is too fun for just AirQuake... :)

I hope Small_Bee can find the cause of the bombs bug. Maybe it is a dynamically loading spawnpoints which can be reloaded again while you are in the load-out menu. The mission reloads spawnpoints periodically to allow airfield capture mechanics.

There are some known bugs with frontlines but ground units can be attacking deep into enemy lines and not necessarily be found on the coast itself. Usually players cooperate in TS and tell each other where the ground units have advanced from the coast.

The autokick utility has been just written 2 days ago and also being beta/alpha-tested. Max allowed ping is set at 300 for now. However it is still being worked on and may have some bugs. Players are supposed to receive several warning messages before being kicked.

As stated above all this is very much WIP and will be improved step by step. Thank you very much for your help and support!

Glad it works for you sometimes :)
The server OS was changed about 2 or 3 weeks ago back to Win Server 2008 providing 3 cores to a virtual machine.

Since then Small_Bee made some small changes to the scripts which I am not aware of. The mission or the game engine has some memory leak issues which Small_Bee is trying to solve. Probably performance depends on how long before the flight the server was restarted.

Yesterday some static objects were added to airfields and other locations for more immersion (including 4 or 6 trains for example).

Small_Bee is making a complete overhaul of scripts at the same time. A new version will have many new features and will come in 2-4 weeks probably.

PS. I think the reason for less lag is traffic limiter that limits traffic to each clients by 35000 - a bit more than xDSL ingame settings. Many clients have LAN settings for their connection speed which overloads server with data otherwise.

Thank you for your offer. R1 mission is done by Small_Bee and I do not think he will be able to include multi-language support at least before the mission is more or less finalised and fine-tuned (he is slowly but surely working on major revision to v.2.0 now).

It is possible to include a briefing in German however. I guess the filename must have a _de.briefing suffix to be shown in German but I am not sure. If you would like to try it here is a briefing text in English which you can translate into German (do not translate the tags in brackets [ ] or < >).

An update on R1 mission scripts from Small_Bee. Translated with Prompt translator.
The small report on progress of work on statistics.

It is made what not to overload base - too much information.

5. Division of victories on personal and victories in group.

6. Addition of points both for planes, and for ground units. Points are divided into three groups - fighter (shooting on planes), ground attack and bombing (bombs on everything).

7. The quantity of the added points depends on type of the target and a condition of the player and its plane at the moment of flight end. Concerning planes also depends on a condition of a victim. For example for the plane which not received critical damages and has landed in the airdrome, points won't be added. But if the plane falls in the field in the territory, points will be added in a bit smaller volume. For compulsion to landing of the damaged plane in enemy territory on the contrary, will be extra points.

8. In addition points are added for the killed crewmen of the plane and if it there was a player, more points are given.

10. Victories can will be added both to pilots, and gunners if they have together put sufficient damages to the brought down plane.

11. Almost all logic of calculation of points and other is put into stored procedures database. I.e. is open and can be easily modified.

12. Possibility of localization of almost any data-texts which will be taken out on a site.

13. Simple connection of statistics to any existing mission. It is not necessary to modify own logic of missions practically.

Here and so in brief. It will be a little similar to FBDj Stats as this statistics very much is pleasant to me.

Quick dogfight over France is up on R1 till launcher crash issue is fixed. Low flight-time to battle makes launcher crash not so disappointing we hope.

Spit II and E4 can be removed completely if requested to provide more variety of different plane-sets online.

No much time to work on the mission now, therefore it is provided as it is for now but your feedback is very welcome.

Sorry if my comment is a bit OT or it has already been read by most players as I posted already at another thread:
With these settings below (do not pay attention at the resolution; use the one you have) I minimized any launcher crashes.
I still keep tracking the amount of available RAM while on flight (actually I check my RAM gauges more often than my fuel gauges, especially when I am about to enter a dogfight, LOL) but I can fly for 1-2 hrs without the need to exit and restart CoD.
True it does not look as nice as it could be but I am there to fly and dogfight so I could pay too much attention to the ground details anyway.
